We popped in for a cream tea on a wet summer Saturday afternoon. The place was heaving! We managed to find a seat and were served promptly. It was incredibly warm in there despite the fact the air con was on, purely because of the number of people and the outside temp (it was a wet but very warm day).... More

We have been to The Emporium several times and the food has always been pretty good. In the evenings there is always a good atmosphere and plenty of staff. We went for breakfast on Sunday morning and it was very disappointing. No fresh orange was a bad start, although it was put on the bill and no teaspoons. Our order... More

The food here is good, I can't fault them on this. I have been here multiple times as it is a local restaurant, I've been in with friends before and waited fifteen minutes plus to be given a menu or even be acknowledged. Before we have put up with this as all we wanted was a drink, although times when... More

Went here with a large party, 14 people of all ages from 2years to 70+, for a family meal. I have to say that despite there being so many orders to fill and it being a very busy Friday night, the service was great and the food was lovely. Only problem we had was when one meal did not arrive,... More

several work friends met up for a farewell drink. Some had a bite to eat, others just a drink. An advance phone call made sure we were reserved a few tables together in an area where we could chat easily. Very busy but service quick and courteous, prices reasonable, all food good. Great atmosphere, all ages from families, the "trendy... More

A return visit for a light lunch at a restaurant we last visited quite a few years ago suggested that standards have been maintained. Interesting menu, very high quality ingredients, with an emphasis on the local, and good service - we found the staff friendly and helpful. Some good wines. Other customers (and there were many) seemed equally happy and... More

Eat at Emporium Saturday night and then went back for breakfast on Sunday morning. Not disappointed either time. The service was brilliant, the staff probably the best we have ever encountered. Many establishments could learn from their obvious excellent training programme, the staff were extremely efficient, especially Christian who looked after us on the Saturday night, they were clean and... I've visited here for food before but with a big lunch planned we nipped in for a quick coffee mid morning. These were amazing coffees and really sorted the brewing hangover out!

Never had a bad experience at The Emporium. Occasionally service a little slow but feel that is due to the inexperience of the younger staff but overall service is good. Menu choice is very good and accommodates all needs from a small snack to a full meal. A good place to call in for a beer/wine and snack after doing... More
