We were shopping in Clitheroe on a busy Saturday, and our usual lunch venue was full so we opted for The Emporium which is a cafe-bar. Full of the Ribble Valley's great and good, many eating but ladies were sharing bottles of wine too, it's a struggle to get seated as no one greets you or directs you to a... More

Eaten here a few times, it's a popular place. The food and coffee is great but what makes it 5 star for me was the staff, who bend over backwards to help - especially with different dietary questions and babies!

Lovely food, very attentive staff. The restaurant was busy but the lovely waiter found us a table. Thank you. We will be back.

We arrived without a booking for late lunch and had to scour the restaurant ourselves to try to find a table. I opted for one of the pizzas which was very nice. Service was prompt (once we had found our own table) and everybody enjoyed their meals. Slight criticism that the table hadn't been wiped down from the previous diners... More

Visited this restaurant midweek with family. Excellent choice on the menu with some unusual items. Great Food. Excellent choice of beer and wines. Good service and polite staff. The décor is very unusual. Not been here for a few years. It was good then but would say it is even better now. Great for young children as well. There were... More

I have been The Emporium a few times to have a drinks with my boyfriend, and every time I have been I have really enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and polite and put customers first. For example staff always offer to bring drinks to your table when they are ready so you don't have to stand around at the... More

We stumbled across The Emporium on a wet Saturday afternoon-and weren't disappointed! Lots of charm and character with really friendly staff. We grabbed the last table and watched the world go by with a large glass of Merlot! As we were eating out that night, we just had a sharing platter which was fresh and tasty with lots of choice.... Enjoyed lunch - toasted minute steak sandwich, and warm chicken and bacon salad. Just marred because we were served an espresso which was just half a cup of black coffee in an unclean cup on a too large saucer.

We have eaten here on a previous visit to the mother country and were not disappointed this time. The food is excellent, with a good atmosphere and friendly helpful staff, what's not to like? The menu caters to a wide range of tastes and although we have only ever been for lunch the friend who was with us has been... More
