We live quite locally but have only dined here once before, which was a few years ago. We decided to give it another visit to celebrate our anniversary. We were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was really nice and the menu provided just enough choice without being overwhelming. This cannot be described as a large... More

We have eaten at the Thyme and Plaice regularly for the last 3 years. Our latest visit included 10 people. There was silence amongst the party for every course. The meals were outstanding -no one could fault the food and this has been my experience every visit. Having eaten at a number of highly rated restaurants, none of them compare... More

Went for Valentine's Day for a set meal, £30 a head. Food was out of this world, the best we have tasted in a while. 2 beautifully decorated dining areas, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back soon.

I dined here on the evening of Saturday 24 January 2015 with my wife and 5 friends. Service was good, food was good and the ambiance was good! So all together very good! A little bit pricy but there you go.

We returned here after quite some time, not because we didn't like it before but just circumstances. It was a spur of the moment event to sit and chat together over a meal where we could concentrate on the conversation without the interruption of cooking! We were greeted at the door in a most efficient and welcoming way and from... More

Went for my wife's birthday with another couple on 23rd December. Nice professional and welcoming service. Not too many tables so makes for quite an intimate setting. Food was excellent and good value on the 2 courses or three courses menu. I had steak which was cooked to perfection. Would recommend a visit and you willnot be disappointed.

Visited on a Friday evening with a group of girls from work. The evening started off nicely with a cocktail, they have a good menu! We had the super value 3 courses for £19.95 FRIDAY menu and the food was really tasty, couldn't fault it! Will definitely go again and take my husband!
