The website is stunning and reviews were mostly good so I expected good food and ambience. The restaurant is in desperate need of redecorating and the food was poor. Candles and fresh flowers would go a long way in creating some ambience. Staff were very polite.

Visited for 1st with friends Saturday 2nd August. The place is quirky but is charming and so homely and welcoming. The service was excellent from the minute we turned up. drinks and canapés sieved in a lounge area with plenty of time to read the lovely menu. Nice to see a small quality range of food on offer which is... More

I love this little restaurant, quite quirky, mis-matched furniture etc. However, the food is lovely, staff are attentive and friendly, very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend it.

Quirky little restaurant that had a genuine french feel and served well presented, tasty food. Nothing majorly stand out compared to Manchester restaurants of the same price and the atmosphere was tailored more towards an older generation but the mackerel and steak I had were very nice and there were some other nice touches.

Start by making your way through either entrance to the bar/lounge area. You'll get a friendly and relaxed service, with serving staff never far away. The food was well cooked, with decent portions and lots of flavour. Separate veg. all tasted fresh and freshly cooked. House wines were more than acceptable. We really weren't expecting it to be this good,... More

We visited Amelies for our anniversary and we were treated like loyalty at a very reasonable price. My boyfriend booked the table as a surprise and booked the table for 7pm. We arrived a little earlier and were told to make ourselves comfortable by a member of staff. We ordered drinks and were given the normal menu and also the... More

Having been away for 3 nights and having eaten at best "average" food it was lovely to come home and go to Amelie's. Makes me question why we go away really!?!?!?!

Three 'girlies' 50+ had a great night here Wednesday 9th July. One of our party had visited Amelie's many times and was keen for us go with her. After polishing off the moreish pre dinner nibbles (a nice idea), two of us started with roasted banana, bacon and blue cheese salad, a most unusual but winning combination, the other person... More

Our party of four visited on a Saturday night. We were greeted warmly and seated in what I would describe as a quaint and quirky lounge area. This is not a swish , stylish venue , but we were soon to discover that it has outstanding food and friendly, attentive service from a delightful lady named Anna and her team,... More
