I love that you can see what is on offer in the chiller cabinet - and it all looks so appetising. But there is better to come - if you think it looks good wait till you eat there. It really is a cut above the rest. The service is excellent - very personable and courteous. It's very reasonable too.... More

Just off the High Street facing the GPO, this used to be a greasy spoon, but has morphed into a more upmarket café in three parts. The front part has seating and also the kitchen area open to view. At the back the courtyard has more tables and a clear roof. Upstairs is a plain looking attic overflow area of... More

We popped in here for breakfast whilst staying nearby. I had the "half English" whilst my partner had the full English. Both looked great, and tasted great too! Good sized portions, cooked well. The sausages in particular were very tasty, obviously high quality. The waitresses were friendly, quick and helpful (I heard several other tables request alternatives to the listed... More

I visited Howard's Kitchen today for lunch. They had a great array of specials, but I wanted something light so I chose the chicken salad while my mum had the prawn and egg salad. The salad was huge and had cous cous, coleslaw, potato salad, all the usual salad ingredients as well as a generous portion of chicken. It must... More

Had a lovely early lunch here today with our 15 month old little boy. made very welcome with a baby. Lovely food and great desserts! Great staff. Could do with a spruce up inside. Baby changing table was very grubby with broken light above. Couple of high chairs very grubby - luckily a plastic ikea one too so used that... More

2 teas 2 bacon sarnies Service is very good, decor is "shabby chic"? Tea is bag in a mug . Sandwiches came quickly and tasty bacon . Not quite worth £3.75 for a sandwich though

Delightful little cafe off the High Street in Whitstable, Kent. Lunches are good, well-presented popular menu fare. Portions are very generous and the selection of menu items is broad. Excellent daily specials in a comfortable atmosphere. Reasonably priced and friendly. Take the time to step off the High Street to search for Howard's before you make your meal decision!
