This is a very good find. They serve an excellent selection of breakfasts. The coffee is very good and the service friendly.

Have a regular booking in Harbour Street for dinner which is only available three nights a week and so you need to book. Some great new autumn dishes which have been added to the menu. Pigeon is suitably rare, the confit shoulder of lamb unctious and served with black cabbage and aligot potatoes is a marvellously subtle treatment of simple... More

Can't believe the negative reviews I have just read. We have a permanent fortnightly booking as that way we can guarantee a table to enjoy Phil's excellent cuisine. Last night was no exception. My starter of chilli linguine was a dish I haven't had at Elliotts before and I was not disappointed - it was superb. In fact my husband... More

Visiting this little restaurant has been a superb find.We dined last Thursday and tried the cauliflower veloute with black bomber and the foie gras and brioche. Excellent. It was so difficult to decide what to choose for mains. ..eventually i chose the pork with panchetta pearl barley and the finest mash. My husband had the lobster pasta as a main... More

Just read some negative reviews on here prompting me to write this. I have had breakfast, lunch and 2 dinners here since Phil and Sarah took over. I have to say I enjoyed every time but especially the dinners! Food is beautifully cooked and service friendly and efficient. I work in another restaurant in town and frequently recommend Elliot's The... More

Visited Elliott's for the first time for dinner on Friday, 29 August, and was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They are open for dinner Thur to Sat. We shared some olives and artisan bread, smoke mackeral pate, along with wild mushrooms with a poached egg and all were wonderful and fresh with well matched flavours. The main... More

Took my veggy friend and 3 kids. She was spoilt for choice for options which is unusual. Would defiantly go again. Lovely triple cooked chips.

Although the food was very good, the service was terrible and no apologies for having to wait over half an hour for just sandwiches. We watched 2 groups of people come in and leave as no one had even acknowledged them!

This is the first time I've ever walked out of anywhere. Ordered a burger, came and said no baps - ordered chips, came and said no chips, same for others. Rude staff, complete joke - don't touch it.
