Excellent food and service

Ate dinner here for the first time on a busy Saturday night after having eaten breakfast and lunch on a number of different occasions. Excellent food and amongst the best meals we have ever had anywhere. Very different ambience from during the day. On this occasion the service was faultless.

Went here with partner and friend, getting table nr window. Waiter came over and took previous customers plates, glasses and debris but failed to wipe table. No mention of "can I get you a drink". We ordered a:) Goats cheese salad - A well received plate of food. b:) Elliotts Burger served on a toasted bun with cheese and sliced... More

When I walked in to this establishment I went up to the bar to enquire whether I should order there or would I be waited on. They said take a seat, someone will be over in a minute. Make that nearer to 10. My first two choices of crab sandwich and moules were not available, so I ordered a Salt... More

Six of us had a reservation for 7pm. We had a good meal. Excellent starters such as poached duck egg, asparagus and black pudding. Main courses such as belly pork, hake and roasted veal. All were well prepared and nicely presented. We had two cheese boards and three deserts plus some coffees. The bill for the food came to £215.00... More

Was really looking forward to getting to Elliott's as I had heard so many good things about them. The menu was full of interesting and tempting items. In fact making a decision was really difficult. In the end I went for fried potatoes with chorizo. As I like my eggs runny I asked for poached instead of baked. The poached... More

Stylish cafe and modern twist to the greasy spoon. My husband said it was the best black pudding he's ever tasted. If you're not into lashings of flesh then there are veggie options which look equally as sophisticated. I had the portobello mushrooms which were gorgeous. My son had smoked salmon and scrambled egg bagel which he loved but couldnt... More

I havent been here in a year as i heard it had changed from cafe to restaurant, with prices accordingly higher. But i stopped off for breakfast today and it was great. The coffee is excellent, the eggs, chorizo and potato hotpot thing was delicious, staff friendly and welcoming. Cost was around £7 which was a bargain. Will def come... More

From the outside, the café was very appealing with families, toddlers and a baby lying in the bow window. However the cold welcome and the fact that the loo was

Had a lovely strong latte and snack but the slow closer on the door doesn't work and if it slammed once it slammed 50 times during the 30 minutes we were there on a busy Saturday morning? Can't believe they haven't tried to do something about it.

After reading that this place had received an award, we decided to have lunch there (May 2015). I ordered the pulled pork on a bap, husband ordered a crab sandwich. The pork was very good but it arrived on a plate with nothing else. No crisps, no salad, no garnish, nothing else.... very poor presentation. The sandwich was £6.95 so... More
