If you're Joey from friends then this place isn't for you. However, if you're happy to share and open to trying an ever changing seasonal menu (one that is verbal and not written down) - then you'll love the place. Our hosts were attentive, cheerful, and friendly; the atmosphere was cosy, we felt at home around the big solid table;... More

We visited here on 30 August with our friends and were booked in for an early dinner as the restaurant, we were told, would be busy later (good advice!). We had a drink outside first (back of Duke of Cumberland pub) and weren't rushed in for our dinner - even though our booking was early .... The waitress was lovely... More

I visited here with a group of friends , I have only ever heard good things about this place and my experience reinforced what I had heard. It is an unusual little place which all adds to the charm , it is not pretentious , it is what it is . There are no menus , something we all agreed... More

We have just arrived home from an evening at The Salt Marsh; our first visit. There are mixed reviews about this place, but we were extremely pleased. No doubt we will be back! My wife wasn't keen on the rose wine she had and they then came straight over and opened three BRAND NEW bottles of wine for us to... More

Despite anything else anyone might say about Salt Marsh the food is gorgeous, tasty and you get good sized portions. Yes it's a bit dishevelled and there aren't any menus but there is a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the food ingredients are good quality. Loved it!

We walked in towards the restaurant and was told we were to sit in the pub as they wasn't busy enough to open the restaurant. The table was sticky and just wasn't what we wanted for a birthday meal. The waitress came over after a while of waiting and apologised that she didn't get over sooner, but it was because... More
