Perfectly situated in the lovely seaside town of Whitstable. We visited early on a Sunday eve so the restaurant was very quiet, but I'm sure on a full eve the atmosphere would be buzzing. Menu limited but probably means food it fresh. Would def recommend a visit.

I make the short drive to Samphire for breakfast on a semi-regular basis and never once have I been disappointed. Just a short walk from the beach, you're always guaranteed a friendly welcome and some absolutely fantastic egg-based excellence. What more could you ask for?

Whitstable has many good restaurants, and Samphire is extremely well-located in the High Street and has never failed me. Not formal but with a menu that I like and which does change with the seasons.

My girlfriend and I had dinner on a busy Saturday night and were really impressed with the food and service. All our dishes were delicious and excellent value for money. We were so impressed that we went again for brunch the following day which was just as good! We will definitely go back.

I did like this restaurant. It is friendly, we were given a warm personal welcome on a miserable wet day and I feel that my overall average rating is just slightly unfair but whilst the lunch menu is quite extensive and portions are very large, the menu could do with some fine tuning. We tried soups of the day which were... Called ahead on arrival into whitstable around lunchtime on a Sunday, we were concerned we would not get a table as we had not pre booked but a very friendly man who answered the phone reassured me to just pop in and he will reserve the table immediately. Greeted warmly on arrival by the gent who had answered the phone,... More

Booked a 7.00 p.m. table on a Saturday night, earlyish as 4 yr old with us. A meal for my wife and I with our son (at Uni in Canterbury) and his girlfriend. Son is a vegetarian so the menu choices that always include "Two fish, two meat and two vegetarian" seemed idea. Simple rustic decor, wooden tables with reservations... More

In the last week we have indulged in 2 x brunch, 1 x lunch and 1 x dinner at our beloved Samphire. A family of (hard to please) foodies-this quirky, friendly little restaurant hits the spot every time! George and his staff achieve that rare, fine balance between attentive friendly service - without being omnipresent. The atmosphere is laid back,... More

Me and my girlfriend fancied a change from a Sunday roast and decided to try here after popular reviews. We should have stuck with the roast !!! My girlfriend ordered the monkfish wrapped in Parma ham. This was priced at 18.95. The monkfish was a tiny tail which had not been prepped correctly. The bone was still in and no... More
