Myself and my partner had breakfast at Samphire recently as we had passed the place countless times but never had the opportunity to go in. I must say I was impressed with the whole thing. I ordered the "English" which is essentially a cooked english breakfast (but not a huge one for that you would have to order the "Full... More

We booked Samphire following a recommendation and it was a delightful experience. The new menu was varied and we chose catch of the day and cod, following a mackerel starter. All the dishes were presented perfectly and cooked to perfection. The waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent value for money and we will be back soon!

This restaurant was recommended by a kind local lady when we visited Whitstable recently and we were all very pleased with our experience. Good and helpful service and tasty and varied menu. We will definitely return when in the area.

The menu is not always the same (a good thing!) and I've never had a bad experience there. Everything is fresh and cooked delicately.

This was a fantastic restaurant with great food, a nice ambience and friendly staff. There was great choice with a great menu, all produce seemed fresh and straight from the sea. I would highly recommend this place :)

We had a very ordinary meal in Samphire last month. The menu looked great and we started with some very unpleasant bought in bread and olives. The olives were ok but the huge slab of nasty bread was nowhere near what you would expect in a restaurant like this. We were there for lunch so just went for a main.... More

We ate twice here on our three day trip and both time excellent. We did the selection of starters thing and this worked well with asparagus, pigeon, octopus and cauliflower soup. Octopus with saffron mayo particularly good.

Had lunch here today. The waitress was particularly friendly. Food was consistently good (mains perhaps better than desserts). The evening menu looked great too with more than the usual number of choices for vegetarians. Glasses of wine about £4.75, mains about £10-19, desserts around £5.50. That it was busy even on a Monday lunchtime speaks volumes about its reputation.

Varied menu with original or unusual offerings. Good selection of starters that should cater for all tastes. We both had the seabream roasted with asparagus capers and lemon and a selection of homemade breads. Would thoroughly recommend if you are in the Whitstable area, or evn make a special journey for it. You don't always have to book during the week
