Tremendous food and service

The anti-pasta starter was delicious and very imaginative - mussels, smoked salmon, anchovies, Parma ham, walnuts, olives and lashings of lovely crusty bread. Likewise, the main meals of Thai fishcakes and the beef Bourginone (sorry if spelt incorrectly - French is not my specialist subject, but I... read more

It's my favourite Whitstable restaurant; we're local and it is by far the most unpretentious place to eat. Scrubbed tables, cosy, intimate, with a very good feel.

I would not want to talk this place down as the meals look great and the platters to share are awesome. We went in for a quick coffee and teacake and although the teacake was ok it was small and very expensive for what you get. Suppose the moral of the story is to stick to tea shops for a... More

This is a great restaurant in the middle of Whitstable which has bare wood tables & menus on blackboards. The food was different, quirky and quite exciting. The staff were laid back but extremely hard working, there were two ladies working the whole restaurant all evening with no-body having to wait for anything which was pretty impressive. There were mainly... More

I visited as an early Fathers Day lunch and we were not disappointed. The menu is not extensive but just enough to keep your interest. Service was a little slow but we were not in any real hurry. A nice venue if you want to avoid nothing but fish.

it's rear in my opinion to find a restaurant in England where fish is prepared well. this is one of those places. It'a cozy, modern restaurant with big boards menu that get's pretty busy on weekends so better to book in advance. The plates where well presented, the menu is evocative and the quality of food outstanding. Please note they... More
