A nice alternative

About the only place in Tonbridge where you can go for something quick and healthy like salad and vegetables. They do lovely steak and ale pie with mash as well, although probably not that healthy! Not cheap for what you get but it is nice stuff and as I said there are healthy and nutritious... read more

Called in on a Saturday lunch time and it was so busy that the queue was almost out the door. The girls did a great job in serving everyone and in no time at all every had there food and coffees. Well done ladies

Popped in for lunch for the first time today. Being a midweek lunchtime, there were tables available on the ground floor. There is additional seating upstairs. All the vacant tables were clear and wiped. We ordered two sandwiches, one of which was served warm immediately whilst the second, a cheese toastie was some 5 minutes behind. We would have preferred... More

Went here with my wife and grandchildren for lunch. Some great food on offer and very good quality and reasonably priced. I had a quiche and my wife had a soup both excellent . My grandchildren had a ham and cheese croissant. Seating is good, cottage style and the overall ambiance is very good. We will be back.

Have visited this place on several occasions now. Popped in here for a coffee and a bite to eat on Saturday last at around 4pm and have to admit the tables were all pretty full. There was no queue at the counter and at least four staff. Three people got involved in our very simple order which were 2 flat... More

This cafe looked really nice for the outside, so I thought I'd give it a go. The cakes are nice, but I've had better. The coffee was really nice even if it was served by a rather grumpy and slightly rude lady. I would probably visit again for a coffee but won't bother with a cake.

£6.75 for two hot chocolates! Small ones not even large! Tasted oily and warm not hot, liked the style of the place but very very overpriced

Food nice enough, they seemed jus about able to cope with a big Saturday lunchtime. I have two issues though. One, does locally sourced food really need to cost more? Two If my wife orders someting that can be served immediately and I order something that needs to be prepared, don't serve one without the other. It's just not right... More

The second time I have visited. I went for breakfast with my husband. I ordered a bacon rustic roll with a coffee and he ordered a bacon muffin with a coffee. The coffee's were great and priced ok. They were very thrifty on the bacon. My roll had one and a bit slices. My husband's muffin barely had one slice.... More
