We visited with family for a special occasion and we sat in a nice quiet area. (I was allowed to decorate the table)Lovely atmosphere, friendly waiter (many thanks Ahmed) and food was great. Had the fish platter amongst 7 of us,probably best between 4 people. Our mains were very good-burgers,curry,fish and chips and belly of pork. Desserts were nice-recommend the... More

We had a lovely meal at the Ivy House. The food and service were good. I had a seafood platter which was very tasty and there was plenty of it.

So it's my local but the building's tudor, the food's standout and the location's great. I really want the Ivyhouse to succeed because it's built on the right principles. It is a bit pricey though so more of a special occasion than a regular eat out haunt.

Looked this up on the internet and liked the reviews. Unfortunately the reviews must have been written by family and staff of this pub trying to be a restaurant. The whole experience was over charged and under delivered. My friend also requested a gluten free meal, only to discover the potatoes were coated in flour before roasting. Fair to say this... More

I am very sorry you had an unhappy experience as always we check back on our customers throughout their meals to make sure all is well, I was on the floor that day and we did not have any complaints, especially those dealing with allergies of whom we deal with regularly and we try to do all we can to... Decent beer which is always a must for a gastro pub, Harvey's Best on the hand pump. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, mini fish and chip starter was well fried and a main of fresh local asparagus risotto the star of the day. Looking forward to a return visit.

Had a superb evening meal at The Ivy House with fantastic food and very friendly professional staff. Glad we'd booked on the Saturday night as the restaurant was full. The staff seamed well briefed on the extensive menu and were able to match good quality wine with delicious courses. The ' Dona Kebab' starter was amazing!! A whole new kebab... More

Found using Tripadvisor and really glad we booked a table. I defy anyone not to find something they love on this menu! We were made very welcome by those working at The Ivy House, and service was friendly, relaxed and not overbearing. The food was beautifully presented and really well prepared. Absolutely lovely and highly recommended, we are already looking... More

Thankfully we booked a table as it was full! The pub/restaurant is very warm and welcoming, good simple decor for a relaxed evening out. House wine was perfect, the food was excellent - a wonderful extensive choice; the seafood platter starter could easily have been a main course, the salmon croquettes delicious, the duck and the steak were both good...
