Wonderful cream teas and old world quaint . Great little place could show the larger cafés in the town how it's done .

Enjoyed tea and scones in the garden. Both fruit and cheese scones were delicious and the service was very friendly and helpful.

Service is hit and miss, rock cakes were awful but toasted sandwich was ok. Limited space outside and in. Opt for the Coffee which is refilled, if you are thirsty, as this is good value. Small outside area to the rear.

The shop is excellent for a cream tea. The cakes and scones were light and crumbly. The staff are friendly and nothing too much trouble so always try to visit when I go to Tenterden as its a treat. They have hats on display and the crockery is pretty. I love this sort of independent café as its original and... More

We were looking for a light lunch and found a little piece of heaven. Three different soups to choose from, all of them good to fantastic - but the piece de resistance for me was the cheese scone - without doubt the best I've ever tasted. Light as a feather, moist and tasty. Though the Victoria sandwich was a close... More

The four of us popped in for coffee and a light bite, the atmosphere was charming and the service first class. We were served with a friendly smile and made very welcome. Our coffee and light bite was excellent and did not seem overpriced considering the location is the very attractive town of Tenterden, well known as an upmarket tourist... More

Went into Tenterden with my sisters for a mooch around. Needed to eat so we firstly went to the Lemon Tree but even though everything looked very nice the price for 3 of us to have a light lunch would have been much too expensive. So after a short walk came upon Peggotty's the place is quaint, clean and welcoming.... More
