Good food

As usual the food in general was quite good. However there was a slight disappointment this time. Firstly the stuffed paratha was pretty bland. Clearly the chef has not mastered the art of making stuffed paratha to the proper Indian standard of taste. I think in that case they really shouldn't be... read more

I have been eating here and at the other restaurant the Mouchak (no longer open) for about 12 years now and can't recommend the restaurant highly enough. The style of the food changes depending on what chief is working, but the food is always consistently good and you always receive a warm welcome. The restaurant is always clean, and there... More

This restaurant is now my favourite Indian restaurant. The food served here is so delicious. Visited yesterday with my partner and we were not disappointed. Both of us loved our food, the tandoori king prawn masala was especially good as was the sag bhaji. We ordered plenty so that we could take home our left overs to eat at home... More

All I can say, is just look at the menu and then try to think of a Indian restraint that has Venison and Scallops on there menu. The food is always good, the bill is never over the top, and the aromatic mussels are to die for. (just remember to order a chapati to mop the source ;-))

As I am touring for about 2 months in UK and I like Indian food, I am looking for an Indian restaurant in each major town that I visit. It has to be buffet restaurant as I like to have lots of choices and try a little bit of everything. This time I was impressed by the multitude of salads,currys... More

The takeaway of king prawn Biryani and a side of okra was rubbish. Tiny pieces of prawn about 8 bits they wouldn't make half a king prawn by weight or size. A tasteless concoction of god knows what vegetables as a sauce and cold. The okra had two large pieces of I can only describe as wood. The okra was... More

Went here tonight on the strength of the reviews on here, well deserved indeed! I'll be honest Indian is not my first choice (usually too spicy for me) but my partner loves Indian food. Really nice restaurant, pleasant staff and good food, just read the reviews and book a table.

A lovely restaurant with food and staff to match. The menu is a little different to the norm but I haven't been bold enough to try the venison.... If ordering a take away best to phone your order in. We had a long wait one Saturday evening but it was worth it. Highly recommended.

I booked a table for yesterday evening to celebrate my 21st birthday at The Raja of Kent. It was a very important day as it was the first time the family had all got together since my sister was diagnosed with leukaemia in January. Due to her condition, it was stressed to the staff that her food had to be... More
