High quality and very tasty meal

We have had takeaways from here before and always been delighted ( except for one time when the food was bland and tasteless) However we persevered and were pleased we did so when we went there during last week for a meal in he restaurant. The takeaway of king prawn Biryani and a side of okra was rubbish. Tiny pieces of prawn about 8 bits they wouldn't make half a king prawn by weight or size. A tasteless concoction of god knows what vegetables as a sauce and cold. The okra had two large pieces of I can only describe as wood. The okra was... More

Went here tonight on the strength of the reviews on here, well deserved indeed! I'll be honest Indian is not my first choice (usually too spicy for me) but my partner loves Indian food. Really nice restaurant, pleasant staff and good food, just read the reviews and book a table.

A lovely restaurant with food and staff to match. The menu is a little different to the norm but I haven't been bold enough to try the venison.... If ordering a take away best to phone your order in. We had a long wait one Saturday evening but it was worth it. Highly recommended.

I booked a table for yesterday evening to celebrate my 21st birthday at The Raja of Kent. It was a very important day as it was the first time the family had all got together since my sister was diagnosed with leukaemia in January. Due to her condition, it was stressed to the staff that her food had to be... More

I was a little bit wary when I walked in on a Saturday evening to find the restaurant full to the brim, thinking that we would not get the best of food, as everything would be cooked hastily. Much to our surprise the food we ordered arrived in time and I must say I hadn't tasted an Indian as nice... More

My partner and I have just been to the Raja for a meal and I can honestly say that it is one of the best Indian meals I've had in this area. We will certainly be returning to experience the delights of this fine restaurant again without a doubt.

Having used the Sister Restaurant 'The Mouchack for many a year', (which was 1 min from home in St Michaels but now unfortunately now closed), I can say, that for me on my 1st takeaway from The Raj, the food & service was of an excellent standard.

I approached this visit with some trepidation, as my last trip to the Raja family of restaurants was to their Maidstone branch where my family had a less than average experience and subsequently I wrote a dismal review, deservedly so. However, the food this evening was as interesting as the Maidstone branch had been bland, the customer service this evening... More

Out with a group of friends for a curry. Raja well placed between us. Great selection of food on the menu ranging from the usuals to great selection of specials including pheasant, sea bass and the king prawn dish I enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which considering how busy the place was was excellent. Thoroughly recommended
