Great old building, good service.

Went here after a dismal last pub and so glad we did, great atmosphere in a really old building right next to the older still Toll Bridge. Great place to hang out.

With such a good choice of pubs to visit in Sandwich, it can be hard to choose where to go, but The Crispin is always a good choice. The pub is quite large and nicely decorated with a kind of rustic Tudor charm that suits a medieval town, with plenty of tables and a good bar. Whilst the more usual... More

Went in with a few friends for a drink as it's a friends birthday and obviously the lady didn't like younger people were all 20. When we sat down she rudely said 'I'll take the salt and pepper away as I dont trust you' not sure what that is suppose to mean howver will never return.

Jade, I spoke to my partner to whom you refer. We are always happy to entertain polite and well behaved customers regardless of age. We have a wide age range of regulars, Your group or approximately 12 arrived after drinking in The Bell Hotel and seated yourselves in the dining area, during our evening restaurant opening time, My partner noticed... Stopped by for a spot of lunch on a very busy day - wife & I both had the smoke salmon & cheese sandwich - absolutely delicious. Good food, good beer, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Returned for an evening meal - the goat curry was good, but slightly lacking in depth of flavour - also, not enough curry sauce for... More

Nice pub with "regular" pub classics, i.e. burgers, fish & chips and the like. If you are lucky enough to snatch a table in the backyard, you can eat with a view of the river.

The patio area can get very busy on warm summer days, but as you say its a nice spot if are lucky to find a table out there. Im not sure if you saw the alternatives to the classic traditional food, there is also a range of Caribbean options, and in the evening Persian dishes too. Which are complemented by... More

Nice location. Average type interior pub design eg nothing special. Waiting staff friendly enough albeit a bit slow. For starters we had nachos which were nice enough. For mains my fellow diner had roast beef which was tough and over cooked and had I roast pork Caribbean style which was fatty and rather unpleasant. Presentation of both dishes was poor.... More

We are sorry you did not enjoy your visit or your food when you visited us. I was a bit surprised at your comments about the interior of the pub, ive not had this relayed to me in the past. Its a 15th century building with paneled walls wooden floors and beams. and painted in traditional colours. There are pictures... More

Nice to go somewhere for a walk with our dogs then have a lovely lunch where they are welcome. I usually either get the vegetarian meal on the special board or a jacket potato.
