Had fish and chips which was very pleasant. What was disappointing was there was no soup despite it being on Specials board and barman telling us there were two flavours but the kitchen said there wasn't; only to be told after ordering main course there was none of that either! Barman very apologetic but won't be visiting again.

I ordered brown stew chicken and well it was just plain English stew! Wasn't a taste of real carribean food that you get in London

I haven't written a review for a while as I eat in this superb pub at least twice weekly and have done for over 2 years now. However I recently had a meal that I can honestly describe as my best ever, anywhere, and can only hope that the landlord keeps his Jerk Pork meal on the menu, it really... More

We visited the Crispin yesterday evening for dinner and beer. Excellent pub, very friendly welcome. Showed the menu, table of our choice. Curried goat and dumpling for 2 of the guests plus a sirloin steak for myself. The sweets were excellent, cheesecake, cheeseboard, ice cream and treacle tart. Good beers from the Green Hop Ales of Mad Cat Brewery. Overall... More

We popped to Sandwich today and decided to eat at the Crispin Inn as it appealed to all the family. When we walked in there were several empty tables, but we were asked to wait while a table was prepared! After we were seated at a table that had not been laid, we ordered our food. The food was ok,... More

Hi Lucy As you are aware i messaged you to get your time of arrival,so i could look into your comments. We visited the Crispin Inn on a day trip to Sandwich in August, after noticing their "Dog's welcome" sign. How glad we are to have seen that sign, else we might never have found this little gem! We were all made to feel very welcome, especially the dog! We sat in the main bar area and found the staff to... More

The wife & I were out on the motorbike hunting for a place for dinner. We stopped in Sandwich and window shopped the restaurants near the river/bridge and decided on the "crispin inn" due to the variety and reasonable prices. The staff were very polite and helpful and the food was of a very high standard. The only downside being... More

We ate here two nights in a row and the food was fabulous! The specials board offers an excellent variety of choice and we were delighted by the fact that the food is quite clearly cooked to order - no microwave pinging here! I checked out eating places in Sandwich before my visit and quite clearly some of the comments... More

Hi William I remember your visit well, and your lovely comments at the time. We are pleased you still decided to try The Crispin ,even though some comments "are clearly very mean spirited".
