Had a lovely meal on a weekend away in Margate. Food was amazing and very different. Good quality and amazing tastes. Would really recommend. Not cheap but considering what you get I'd say it was money well spent.

My sister and brother-in law have hardly eaten any Indian meals and we're very cautious about joining us for this meal but we're soon put at ease when the food was placed in front of us. We had 5,courses which were varied small but very filling. Afterwards we enjoyed coffee and a chat about their experience and in the end... More

Yes I read a few rave reviews and totally support them. Had a lovely meal there on Saturday night. Every mouthful was a flavour explosion. We hadn't booked and got there quite late. I would love to go there again. We had the mutton steak which was cut into lovely chunks and the duck confit. Both to die for dishes.... More

This was our first visit, the service was excellent, and the food was utterly delicious! We had the Wood Pigeon to start and then one of us had the Duck for main and the other the Venison. Loved the little complimentary tasters in between each meal too! We will definitly be going back!!!!

Have visited the Ambrette several times and have always received excellent food and service. Hoping the kashmiri lamb makes it back on the menu, it was outstanding.

First visit and OMG we'll be going back - service, value, atmosphere, staff, food all top notch, very impressive. More of a special occasion venue than a regular haunt but highly recommended. Tried new foods that I hadn't tried before and had no complaints at all. Starters - soft shell crab / pigeon Main - venison / mutton Desserts -... More

It's worth a wander round old Margate to find this gem, with the bonus that it opens on Mondays! I love 'Indian' cuisine and this is an extraordinary take on fusion. A very varied menu but those who daren't venture beyond chicken korma shouldn't bother. A blend of many cultural influences but what makes it all magic is the exquisite... More

As a regular visitor of Indian restaurants, I have to say that I was surprised and delighted with this refreshing change hidden away in the old streets of Margate. My boyfriend had recommended it from a previous visit- I could see why. It was unlike any other Indian restaurant we had ever experienced. Not unlike the French style of service,... More
