Lovely lunch!

After arriving in Margate a little hungry we decided to go to Fort's Cafe and we didn't regret it! After taking the seat outside to enjoy the lovely weather we were greater with a simple breakfast and light lunch menu. Two of us went for the chorizo sandwich and the other eggs Benedict! My friends and I booked Forts on a Saturday morning after doing some research on quirky breakfast eateries in Margate. After a warning that such a large booking of 18 might mean sitting at different tables and slower service than normal, Forts still exceeded our expectations. The food was cooked to perfection, with locally sourced produce. A lot of us... More

We visit Forts once a week and is our go to place when friends from London come to visit. The food is always locally sourced, fresh and delicious! The waiting staff are friendly combined with a cool edge that's not intrusive and knowledgeable! English breakfast is to die for and the veggie breakfast is yum and worth a taste! The cliff... More

I've been here a couple of times lately. First for brunch with friends. The breakfasts were really gorgeous. Then again on Sunday we had burgers, the meat was from a local farm & delicious chips. It's all really good & has a great view. The staff are friendly & efficient. It won't be my last visit.

Excellent food and great value, cooked to a very high standard. The best tea I've had in many years. Great friendly welcome and service. This place should definitely be a regular for locals and a recommended stop for visitors.

We visited Margate for the galleries and interesting shops, having bought six retro chairs in Junk Deluxe we mentioned to Benjamin, the owner that we were going for breakfast & could he recommend anywhere and he directed us to this super cafe overlooking the sea. The best full English breakfast for a long while, fresh ingredients beautifully cooked. Eclectic mix... More

We came here for breakfast. It was a really lovely experience. The food was great (I had the vegetarian option which was lovely). The staff were really friendly. The food portions were really generous also. They also had some really tasty amaretto doughnuts!
