Lovely café in the heart of the old town of Margate. Quirky décor, lovely cakes and a perfect cup of tea served in a proper tea pot and china cups and saucers. Outdoor and indoor tables, not squashed on top of each other. Will definitely be going back to try out the other items on the menu which sounded delicious.... More

We visited on a rainy Friday morning and the place was packed. Our 7 month old baby was unusually grumpy and I left the cafe just as our brunch arrived. When i returned they had not only kept my food warm but then gave me a cappucino on the house as baby outside being whingey = cold coffee. So kind... More

Pleasant customer service, lovely snack menu in bespoke Margate Old Town Teashop.Wonderful cupcakes and old fashioned currant tea cakes with a choice of teas and coffees and other beverages. The adjoining kitchen shop has some really good bygone supplies of kitchen gear for that unusual gift for Christmas or Birthday or just to treat yourself.Significant local investment deserves to be honoured by... Every time we visit Margate, this is our first port of call for a pot of Earl Grey and 2 slices of delicious cake. The cakes vary, the tea does not. Friendly service, lovely location and a varied menu. Not much else to add, other than we love it, and heartily recommend this lovely little tea shop.

I come to The Cupcake Cafe quite often to treat the girls at work with a nice box of random Cupcakes. ALWAYS brightens up their day (and mine too!!) My favourite Cupcake has to be the chocolate peanut butter, it melts in your mouth! Staff are cheerful and always have a smile on their face :) Can't wait to get... More

I have visited this café on two occasions. To be honest, the first visit left me a little nonplussed. It was nice enough and set in a good enough location and it was fine, but it was just that. I would have given three stars for that first visit. Nothing wrong with the place and five stars for having gluten... More

I defy anyone to supply a better scrambled egg and sausage on toast. Locally produced Kentish 'hop and apple' bangers. Tea piping hot and strong. Decor is warm Cath Kidston style right down to the spotless and wittily put together toilets. Run by a posse of young women who know what they're doing. A delight to stumble across. There is... More

I was looking forward to visiting here and really enjoyed the tea we had 2 cup cakes but my child didn't really enjoy the cupcake. I enjoyed my cupcake but not the best cupcake I've ever tasted. The cafe was nice inside and excellent customer service we received.
