Sunday lunch

my wife and I took the old MGBGT out for a drive to the North Kent coast and stumbled across this delightful pub by chance. How lucky we were. We hadn't booked but the staff were wonderful and settled us into a table with no fuss. Menu looked great and my wife went for the beer battered cod and... read more

The Prince of Wales if definitely worth a visit for either lunch or dinner. The food is excellent with a good range of options. The service and atmosphere are also really good. I've been several times and it has always been really good.

We have eaten at this pub/restaurant before and the food is usually very good. However, last night I chose slow cooked pork belly from the Specials board. When it arrived, it looked ok served with roasted vegetables and 'rustic' roast potatoes (this means unpeeled). The piece of pork was tough, dry and extremely chewy - not at all what I... More

We have accepted some responsibility on this occasion for not dealing the situation in the way we should have. The customer is question has been contacted and invited back by the owner personally to be treated and looked after. Regards, The POW team :) More

Lovely pub with enough space to enable your group/party to enjoy their visit. Our group visited for Sunday Lunch and had a rather mixed experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive enough so that you knew they were their for you if needed. I did however leave the pub a little disappointed by the quality of the roasts that... More

An evening meal was booked for ten of us. We received a warm welcome from the manager and his staff. Our table was ready and, as we'd hoped, we were all able to sit together. Even though we were within the main area, it seemed quite private. There was a great ambiance and the whole place had a cosy, 'olde... More

We had not booked on a Sunday lunch-time. Everything very, very good. We were given a table on the proviso, that we would leave it clear one and a half hours later. No problem. Staff were brilliant and very attentive, seemed very well trained. Food was lovely. Kentish beer very good.

We have eaten there many times at lunchtime and found the food, the service and the prices outstanding. When we tried in the evening, the food was just as good but one of us chose a slow-cooking item which was delicious but delayed the meal for all of us. Nonetheless we are going back again for lunch tomorrow. Just be... More

as the title suggests, we have been to this venue for lunches and dinners on several occasions. Our last visit was earlier this month for an impromptu lunch. We were welcomed as well as always, and we had a good choice of places to sit. We were served promptly and attentively with all our wants being met. The food was... More

We were looking for a place to take our mothers for a belated Mothering Sunday meal. A friend recommended this pub and online reviews were very promising. I rarely look forward to eating out due to limited choices of what I can consume. So this was a huge shock when not only was the service and food good but it... More

Last Thursday, we had a wonderful meal at the prince of Wales. The three courses were excellent value and tasted absolutely delicious. we strongly recommend the Potato and spinach soup. The staff were friendly and we even met the chef. Thanks to all for a wonderful evening. We cannot wait to return.
