So glad we found this wonderful place during our visit to Canterbury. Food was exceptional, service friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere is festive and homey. Had the two course early dinner--great value! Regular menu and blackboard specials offer good variety. If we lived nearby, this would become a regular favorite eat out spot.

1st time at the Prince of Wales and definitely not the last! Went to one of their special afternoons, and had a wonderful meal while listening to an amazing soul singer JD. Food was brilliant and the staff fun but professional. The food is London restaurant quality while remaining at Kent prices, and the chef (Steve) who we had the... More

Went there today Sunday, it was busy but still got a table fairly quick. We had a Sunday Roast as usual excellent meal. Service fantastic, staff very helpful make you feel at home. We had a bonus today as there was a group playing in the gardens. All staff are very friendly, you can't fault them. This looks like a... More

We fancied a change from a takeaway last Friday and on the off chance for a meal popped in. Although the restaurant was full we were offered a table in the bar. Very friendly, cheerful staff who were very busy but couldn't do enough for us. The service was superb as was the food, (beer wasn't too bad either!). The... More

We had lunch at the Prince of Wales whilst visiting an elderly relative in Herne Bay. The food was very tasty and came promptly, the serving staff were cheery and helpfully accommodated some special requests for the meal. A very nice little pub, well worth a visit.

Popped in as we were camping down the road but this is my all time favourite pub which is why we chose the campsite nearby! Was very busy on saturday night with everyone sitting inside or out enjoying their meals. Gorgeous pub, comes into it's own during winter with cosy log fires and mulled wine. But the food, well. So,... More

We have visited this establishment on numerous occasions since 2012, we have been for romantic couples meals and family gatherings. Each occasion we have visited we have had a fabulous time. The food is perfectly cooked on every visit, bar none. We have always been impressed with the service and it is clear the owner runs a tight ship. We... More

I can thoroughly recommend this lovely, traditional Kentish Pub, Lovely Atmosphere, very good food at a very good price. The garden is lovely on a sunny afternoon and we were able to take our dog. Service is good. I can't fault it.

Definitely worth searching out this lovely pub in the Kent countryside. Highly recommended! Run by seasoned landlords, Marc & Carol Perkins, the pub lies off the beaten track between Herne Bay and Canterbury. Once a grotty "spit and sawdust" village local, Marc & Carol bought the freehold sometime ago and have turned it into one of Kent's premier destination gastropubs.... More
