A group of us visited in December to have a boys lunch, we were looked after very well, food was good and we were accommodated very well till very late in the afternoon. Would always go back.

Lovely surroundings and the food is superb and the presentation is excellent and the staff look after you very very well which for me is just as important as the food itself, if you really want to push the boat out they also have rooms for an overnight stay. I have been here for dinner too and cannot fault this... More

My wife and I and a couple of friends had our Xmas Eve lunch here. The food was lovely and wine, as usual first calss and good value and the service excellent. The only downside was the boisterous tri-generation group and the small child wandering around seemed rather at odds with a fine dining restaurant.

Visited on 12.12.15 for dinner. We visit reads regularly through the year both for dinner and for lunch. Our recent visit met our usual expectations. Great surroundings, great service, and great food Being Xmas it was particularly busy but our dining room was as spacious as ever and the table was ours for the night. Service was great but not... We stayed overnight on 23rd December 2015. There were three of us and we each had lamb, beef and pheasant respectively. Each meat was cooked to a faultless standard. Needless to say the accompaniments were sublime and whilst we were full to the brim we could not resist the desserts along with the flights of dessert wine and flights of... More

Having booked this lunch a good few months before as you it was close to Christmas, I am unable to fault our experience at all! Brad was our contact from start to finish and after plenty of email contact he and Reads made the day absolutely faultless. We arrived to find that we had our own dining room and we... More

Went to a friend's 50th birthday party held here. Service and food was brilliant as usual. The blackberry souffle was to die for. I have never tasted such light souffles as they serve here. Had a lovely afternoon. There was no pressure at all to leave.

A return visit for us. Booked in for a birthday celebratory meal, which in the lead up to Christmas is always a challenge. I made a couple of special requests - which were duly taken care of with no fuss. The reception room is charming and welcoming as are the staff. The menu was not disappointing either - excellent food.... More

A very pleasant and warm welcome! When we had seated in the lounge we were given the menu and I was slightly taken aback that there were no veggie dishes as there was on the website. I explained to the waitress and she said it was no problem and so sent over the waiter to explain the alternatives. The alternatives... More
