First Class all round. Staff very polite and cheerful. The food is fabulous and is accompanied by a great wine selection. We booked again for my wife's birthday in December but will be back before then😀. A pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

Love Reads and have eaten here many times. The last visit was the first time i have ever felt disappointed in the food...main course of lamb could have been any meat, it was lacking in any flavour. Asparagus with egg was bland, and the pudding was so forgettable, i have forgotten it. Will keep the faith, and go back -... More

Visited on Fathers Day in June. We were 4 adults and 2 kids in our party. We had drinks in the courtyard garden in the sunshine which was very nice. Table for six was great. All the food was excellent with great service as usual. It is expensive to eat here as a family but wonderful for a special occasion.

We have been several times, and the standard has been excellent and consistently high. Simply can't fault it. The staff are friendly and professional, without being unctuous.

Reads in quintessentially English - the atmosphere calm and inviting. The maitre d', Brad was excellent providing our party warm but unobtrusive service. Service was excellent, and the food very pleasant. If you are looking for a beautiful Kentish eating experience - without being flashy - Reads is a great choice.

I returned to this restaurant, which has been one of my favourites in the area. Sadly I was a bit disappointed. The place as always was beautiful and in general the service was fine. However, a new member of staff requires some training. They had not be instructed that the ladies in a party should be served first. They also... More

We had our wedding lunch here in November with family and friends. Service was excellent. guests marveled on how taking the starter/main courses in the bar they were able to deliver the meals without all the shouting on who ordered what. The Orange souffle with ice cream served in such a way it caused oohs and arrghs from guests -... More

I was treated to lunch here by a friend. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed an aperitif in the courtyard. My food was delightful, I chose a subtle fish fish, but the soufflé desert was sublime. It was a really lovely lunch.
