This place in the day serves the same purpose as many Wetherspoons' pubs. A meeting-place for the elderly, lonely, mentally ill and unemployed. It can be depressing if you are not depressed yourself. The big benefit of Wetherspoons applies. Very cheap food that is almost edible, some reasonably good real ales and comfortable seating. Add to that the spacious and... More

On a recent trip to Faversham we decided to have an early lunch and whilst walking about came across this old cinema which has been turned into a nice Wheatherspoons pub. Service good and breakfast roles and teas were good value.

Hello, glad you enjoyed your visit to the Leading Light. Many of our customers think the building was once a cinema but you may be surprised to hear it was a Co-op furniture store previous to Wetherspoons taking it on. Next time you pop in take note of the blue tiles on the left as you walk in as they... More

I think the majority of people now know what a Wetherspoon offeres and the prices charged - it's pretty much standard throughout the organisation and the only thing that changes is the location. The Leading Light has a great outdoor area and in comparison to my local 'spoon more efficient staff.

This restaurant seems to cater for all ages. Ordering process DIY at the bar. Otherwise, waiting service friendly and helpful. Good value and easy to understand Menu.

Come in almost everyday. Only two bar staff today at 18:30pm with the bar two deep. Having waited almost 10 minutes to be served (as others arriving at the bar after me were served before me) was told by a barman on his first day to "be quick" to let him know what I wanted! No apology & didn't even... More

The leading light is a lively pub that does food at amazing value for money in the centre of Faversham. The leading light is very lively and a fun place to visit for a drink and or meal seven days a week in Faversham. Having never visited a Wetherspoon pub before I was tempted by their curry night. A great curry and a pint ( or another drink) for under £5. What value. OK so it's a bit tacky, service is non existent but if you want a cheap meal out and don't mind not having any frills then this takes some beating. I... More

I visited Faversham on my tour of Kent and was already hungry for lunch at 11am. While walking around I noticed most restaurants opened at 12 for lunch, however, I noticed this beautiful building already open for breakfast and perused the rather large posted menu on the window. I went inside and luckily they said they served lunch (this was... More

I had the displeasure of trying to eat here today, my wife and me wanted a quick lunch and normally get good service from Wetherspoons but not today, only 2 girls trying to serve on the bar, food, clear away and everything else, resulting in a 20 minute wait for cold food. I dared to mention this and for my... More
