The leading light is a lively pub that does food at amazing value for money in the centre of Faversham. The leading light is very lively and a fun place to visit for a drink and or meal seven days a week in Faversham. Faversham is a quiet town and the leading light is far and away the liveliest place... More

Having never visited a Wetherspoon pub before I was tempted by their curry night. A great curry and a pint ( or another drink) for under £5. What value. OK so it's a bit tacky, service is non existent but if you want a cheap meal out and don't mind not having any frills then this takes some beating. I... More

I visited Faversham on my tour of Kent and was already hungry for lunch at 11am. While walking around I noticed most restaurants opened at 12 for lunch, however, I noticed this beautiful building already open for breakfast and perused the rather large posted menu on the window. I went inside and luckily they said they served lunch (this was... More

I had the displeasure of trying to eat here today, my wife and me wanted a quick lunch and normally get good service from Wetherspoons but not today, only 2 girls trying to serve on the bar, food, clear away and everything else, resulting in a 20 minute wait for cold food. I dared to mention this and for my... More

good venue for cheap drinks and food only let down - no 'last orders' bell, just a time at the bar bell dead on 11.00 p.m. - if you're not at the bar when this bell is rung, you do not get served - NO EXCEPTIONS!

Equally good to most Wetherspoons and definitely improved over the last year or so. Staff are pleasant; food and drinks are good for the price. Not an amazing building but nice enough. I like lunch here as not too busy then.

On Friday,6th June, this pub hosted an excellent blue plaque unveiling event. The plaque was in honour of a great Favershamonian the late Bill Vaughan. .Bill is unique in not only being the first Labour mayor of Swale,Borough Council(SBC) but also called on twice to be mayor of both SBC & mayor of the medieval town of Faversham. As the plaque... More

We came for lunch on a tuesday when they do steak deals. We had a great piece of meat each with honest sides. The meal includes a drink, we chose to have a pint. And all of it for just £6.09!
