The best Indian takeaway I've had in the area. Admittedly I don't have them every week but this was just delicious. A half hour wait in the restaurant was well worth it. Staff really friendly. The restaurant was packed so always a good sign too

The food was good and portion sizes healthy. Went on a Friday night and the takeaway was clearly popular. The staff seemed a little uncomfortable although the service was prompt and efficient. Enjoyed our evening here.

Hadn't checked tripadvisor, but restaurant was very full on a Tuesday night, which I took as a good sign... how wrong one can be! Had a very average meal - naan was undercooked and lamb was a bit chewy, but all edible. Slightly off putting being served my biriani from a take away metal container inverted on the plate which... Food horrid, nasty and full of sugar. Even the Naan bread was inedible. When I tried asking the waiter for naan bread that was actually cooked he started shouting at me as if it was my fault that the food served was disgusting. So I walked out £30 lighter and still hungry. Give it a wide berth!

When we walked in there was only 1 table in use but we had to sit in the bar area and wait to be seated! Not once did anyone ask how our meal was.. we had to ask for drinks, use cutlery from the next table and to top it all the waiter came and removed the table cloth before... More

This is my second visit to The Bengal Spice within four weeks. The first visit was on a weekday evening and the service and food was good and most of the tables were full. However, my second visit was Valentines on a Friday evening with my family. It was very busy and a huge disappointment. We booked a table for... More

The food is of a fair quality and the waiters are very friendly. The price reflects the sort of place it is and therefore on a value for money score it does very well.

This is one of the best Indian Restaurants and take away that we have found. We moved from London and from our wonderful local takeaway and thought it would be difficult to find a replacement. Thank goodness for Bengal Spice their food is on a par with our favourite and some of the dishes are better. Fresh ingredients brilliantly cooked.
