Could do better

The restaurant is placed in a lovely location with views facing out to sea or back to the shore. It is clean and tidy and offers breakfasts, light lunches, sandwiches and cakes. It is table service. Unfortunately they don't always get to you very quickly. The coffee cup size was small despite... read more

I really don't understand all these bad reviews on here. The place is clean and food portions are large and therefore worth the money. The owner couldn't be nicer if she tried and if you have any dietary requirements she's more than ready to help. The owner is always training up new staff who's next move is to run away... More

The cooked breakfast was nice and was brought over quickly. The pot of tea was very nice and sugar was provided as cubes rather than sachets, which I personally prefer. The view was very foggy as it was morning but was still pleasant.

We had been here before ... and that had been a good experience. It's a AA location, so we were really looking forward to it. But when we got there we were told off by the owner (?) that they didn't serve any food any more. It wasn't late at night, just late in the afternoon/early evening ... wow ...... More

Whilst it is a very busy place, that is due to the views, good food and great service. 6 of us enjoyed tea and cakes with fast, pleasant service and a fantastic view of the setting Deal sun.

Food was distinctly average. Two of us ordered breakfasts which were delivered without toast. Despite asking twice, none was forthcoming. When we went to pay I mentioned the toast issue and it was patently obvious that the staff were used to deducting money from the bill as £1 was taken off. Shame, as the location is second-to-none & Deal deserves... More

Imagine the scene - you & friends are having a wonderful afternoon perambulation in the spring sunshine, you feel like a cuppa & wish to enjoy the views over a hot warming drink so.........imagine our disgust to be told by the waitress on Saturday afternoon that they were not serving drinks only until 3.00 pm as they were too busy... We visited here on a sunny Sunday lunch time and it was very busy. The staff were pleasant but some people seemed to be waiting a long time to be served and to get their order. The food was o.k but I thought they could have used better bread for the sandwiches given the price.

Lovely walk down the pier to this place. Nice views. Funky Scandinavian canteen design. Good breakfast. Friendly waitress, totally well briefed on good range of gluten free options. Am sure an evening meal on a stormy night would be fun! Recommended.

A beautiful spot such as this, should have a really nice cafe/restaurant. Instead of which, it is horrible. Terrible service by waitresses. Why do staff have no training? Far too long to wait for food that is basic. How long does it take to fry an egg and spoon out some beans? Order wrong after waiting almost 50 minutes. It feels... More
