Will visit again!

After living in Deal for nearly a year I cannot understand how we have managed to avoid visiting here, but we will certainly be back. We visited on Tuesday, which is quiet for Deal restaurants, if they open at all! The Court Yard has a cheese and wine do every Tuesday where wines can be tasted at... read more

We were welcomed warmly on arrival. Service was very friendly [relaxed] and speedy. There was a good selection of starters even for vegetarians, and they were HUGE! A very good selection of mains followed so that it was quite difficult to choose. All 4 of us were delighted with our choice, and again the portions were extremely generous. We did not... More

I popped in for a quick drink on my own on the way home to my B&B while staying in the area recently. It was a Saturday night, the restaurant and bar areas both looked busy. After ordering my drink I sat at the bar and for the first 5 minutes was enjoying the music, my drink and my read.... More

We were taken by friends to this smashing place. We ate in the 'conservatory '. I suppose there were around 50 people there. The owner chef puts on theme nights and we were treated to some fine hot and cold food, home made pate, pickled eggs, chutneys and cheeses, some free wine tasting thrown in, fancy home made quiches, no... Good starters of scotch egg, goats cheese and oysters. V tasty. Fish and chips ... Delicate fis, ok batter but chips done with skins on which most thought not so good. One of our party had a v small bit of fish as opposed to the other two portions which was a shame. Mussels v good but lots of great... More

Loved the food and vibe. Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere. We went on a saturday night and the place was packed but it did not feel crowded or stressful. Portions are huge, think before having a starter!

Lovely place, also great new beer. Have been there several times and have never been disappointed. The cheese and wine evenings offer tremendous value, and the film show menu is always good value.

We booked to have Christmas lunch here some time ago. In the meantime I had to go in to hospital for major surgery and wasn't sure I'd be up to going out for lunch. I spoke with the manager who arranged to have a comfy seat set up for me with easy access to everything and potentially send my lunch... More

WIth pretty christmas decorations this restaurant is a perfect place for a meal. The food is much better than many places I've eaten. Most main courses are around £15.00, starters and desserts about £5 or £6. The ambience is lovely. The menu has lots of unusual things and I understand that they change it regularily. They also do lunches with... More

I wondered if they are making cut backs, went with friends for our christmas night out, there were no xmas decorations on the table, not even a cracker! They also served slices of white bread and butter when we arrived, surely a warm roll would be better! The staff were excellent as usual,a good team. The 3 course christmas meal was very good, not sure about the...
