Popular pub & restaurant in rural Kent

The 3 Chimneys has been a popular drinking/dining/socialising spot for the 30 years that we have known it. It has grown from a small smoky selection of bars to include enlarged dining areas, one of which is a conservatory with character. Food is "good pub quality", a good selection of beers... read more

We went to the pub on April 14, 2015. Good service and friendly staff. Nice garden, we could sit outside seen the good weather. A small black board menu with different choices and fresh made food. The food is the better pub food made with a lot of taste. You have to try the sausages with sage and wine/port gravy,... More

We've visited many times and this recent visit was after the kitchen refit. The menu is well thoughout and have to say my best meal to date (monkfish wrapped in Parma ham). Mains are between £15-20 but well worth it. Definitely worth a visit but would book as was full even on a Wednesday evening.

Don't know what all the fuss is about? Was expecting something great but average in atmosphere & service. Not warm & welcoming at all! Food was fine but nothing more. They obviously are resting on their laurels regarding reputation. But should be careful as lots of competition out there. Try somewhere else.

A pretty but un-assuming exterior hides an extra-ordinary find. I love my desserts so I started with the dessert menu - good range. Took the locals advice on dessert and planned for the sticky toffee pudding. It was sublime. We hadn't booked and arrived around 12.15 on a Sat and there were only a few tables free. The car park... If you want to eat here at a weekend, then book and go earlier rather than late if you want to find a place in the car park, without waiting. First time I'd eaten here and from others opinions I was expecting a great meal and perhaps because of that I was disappointed. The pub was full, atmosphere with the... More

This was our first visit - have passed by many times and said "We must try that pub one day". Sunday lunchtime it was packed so we booked for Sunday evening and had a pre dinner drink in the little bar at the end, which was lovely - like stepping back in time. Low lighting and a lovely log fire.... More

Went here with a friend for lunch. We sat by a log fire really cosey on a cold day. The menu was filled with many temptations and lots of vegetarian choices. The service was really good the staff all very friendly and polite. We didnt have to wait long for our meal considering they were quite busy for a Monday.... More

Wnet yesterday for lunch. It was cosy and there was a big wood burning stove alight. One had a starter and I had a main course with a side salad. The food was delightful and tasy and the service , friendly and good. I heartily recommend this gastro pub. It is often necessary to book before to avoid disappointment.

Had our first visit to the pub with a table for four on Sat 21st Feb being my wife's birthday. Food very good, service very friendly although a bit slow the place was full so no problem, I don't have a problem with that. It's nice to dine in a real pub and not a gastro pub that charge a... More
