This is definitely a prototype to impress a foreign guest with as a quintessential English pub. With excellent local ales on tap and delicious well cooked food it has a delightful interior and friendly staff. We visited for a midday Sunday lunch. My only slight gripe was that they had already run out of local lamb at midday leaving only... More

Lovely old place with friendly staff. Are big dogs where welcomed and we had a lovely meal. The best meal so far all week except my wife's cooking that is. Ales are tasty and goes down a treat. We will be dropping in again. πŸ•πŸπŸ»πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Gorgeous pub with bags of character, friendly efficient staff and first class food. I had Salmon with salsa topping, on sweet potatoes and spinach. It was one of the best Salmon dishes I've ever had. The food came out promptly and was presented perfectly. My only slight thing was that we could hear the microwave "ping" in the kitchen each... More

This pub has everything - oodles of atmosphere, an excellent chef and delightful staff. It is really one of the top pubs in the country.

This is undoubtedly a super location and setting. Fabulously old and full of character. Go for a super candlelit dinner in the restaurant at the back and it will be lovely. One of my favourite places to eat locally. Don't go for a drink and a chat with a friend you want to talk privately too. When you walk in... More

We stayed in Sissinghurst for the weekend for a family birthday and were at a loss for where to go to eat in the evening. We came across this place online by chance and decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did as it was absolutely fantastic. My parents were so enamored with it they said... More

What a lovely place with excellent food, there is a good choice on the menu and portions are good. The staff are excellent, very helpful especially the chap behind the bar.

Just a 15 min walk away, albeit on a main road (so watch out at night). Overpriced but lovely food and great ales.

My husband and I drove to Skye from Loch Torridon and were happily rewarded by a delicious lunch at the Three Chimneys. It was Sunday lunch time and the whole building was full but not too busy to make you feel that you are sitting on fellow diners laps. There was a choice of two menus much to my relief... More
