Great English gastro pub

When visiting my friend in Kent we always have dinner at one of those fabulous gastro pubs. And this is another one that I just loved. Quirky interior, friendly wait staff, great food and a nice wine list, all the ingrediens for a great evening with friends and loved ones.

We went on a sunny Wednesday afternoon and the place was packed, as a result we waited an age for someone to direct us to a table , even longer for drinks and yet longer still to have the board menu brought to our table. When service was forthcoming it was good, however there was clearly a lack of staff.... More

We received a warm welcome on entering the bar and were served straight away. It was service with a smile. The food was excellent and we shall visit again.

My partner and I stummbled upon this pub on a Sunday lunchtime. Thank goodness we did. I cant speak highly enough about this restaurant. Although i dont really like lists its going to be easier to list the great points about this pub: 1. Very nice village location 2. Very well decorated inside and out 3. Olde Worlde low beams,... This was our third visit to this pub over the past 15 years. We go out of our way to eat there when we are in the area and it doesn't disappoint.

Can't fault this place. The food is gorgeous - a fantastic choice. The staff are very pleasant and friendly -nothing is too much trouble. It is dog-friendly to the point that they bring a bowl of water for your dog and ask you if the dog can have a 'doggy bag' of meat leftovers from other customers - brilliant idea.

The Three Chimneys is in a beautiful building/setting and has much character, especially the original/bar portion. The menus are interesting, the food is good, and portions are generous. What seems to be lacking is good or consistent (meaning timely and friendly) service – when we arrived only three tables were taken but it seemed to be a real chore when... More

Visited this charming pub for the first time today. As it was a busy Saturday lunch time we were seated in the bar area, which was cosy but full of atmosphere in keeping with the history of the building - inc. hops and tapestries from 1747! Staff were very friendly and especially helpful. They were all marvellous. The food itself... More

Three Chimneys is superb. Great food, perfect atmosphere, excellent service and friendly customers with their dogs. One of our best meals in the past 16 days in the UK.
