A disappointing experience. To their credit, the manager apologised for a breakdown in service and cited a shortage of trained staff, but that is simply no excuse. We took our pre-dinner drinks to the table and the empty glasses remained there until we left. Additionally no attempt was made to even wipe down the table. . We ordered white wine and... More

Went over for a drink and to see some live music. Food looked lovely though didn't order anything. Great atmosphere. I will come back and have lunch here sometime.

A steep walk down to the restaurant but well worth a visit. Really fresh food made to order. Delicious!!!

We stopped on the off chance of a quick dinner and were not disappointed. Staff were so polite and efficient, the food was fantastic and we had a wonderful family meal. A favourite of ours and a "must visit"!

We stopped here for a late lunch and it was a fantastic experience. I went for the small cod and chips and it was still very filling and very good. My boyfriend had a lovely crab sandwich. We sat outside watched the world go by and found it a pleasant and clean pub. I would recommend and defo would visit... More

After previous excellent dining experiences at this pub, I willingly took my partner and his family here for a birthday meal last week. I was left pretty embarrassed by the experience, I spent the whole meal eating my words and not much else. I was so adamant that it was going to be a lovely meal beforehand that we were... More

Visited here with family, but left a little disappointed as the food we had, let down what is a lovely establishment in a great location. Staff were friendly enough and sorted out a problem with one of the dishes we ordered and gave us a free drink as goodwill. Plenty of seating both inside and outside, and a good selection... More

I visited The Boathouse expecting the same standard I had experienced during my previous visits. As usual the restaurant and bar area was busy with the constant flow of people ordering food and looking for suitable tables. Luckily, I had decided to book in advance. I ordered my starter of whitebait and salad which was ok, but nothing special. My... More
