Description: A Modern European Restaurant in Cowes Brawns is a small, intimate European...
A Modern European Restaurant in Cowes Brawns is a small, intimate European Restaurant, located in the old quarter of Cowes town. Set in a Grade two listed Georgian building, sympathetically converted a few years ago. Charles Paul, owner and Chef, was trained in London, and having done a stage at the Fat Duck in Bray, went on to work for a high class restaurant in Cambridge. His inspiration for the food is to use high quality, fresh seasonal produce, locally sourced where possible. Diners will always find brasserie favourites on the a la carte menu, as well as some more modern offerings. The specials will change on a daily basis, to ensure there is something new to tempt you. Those looking for tasty food at excellent value can also choose from the set price midweek menu. The wine list will be small, but has been carefully chosen to compliment the food. Those on a budget will not be disappointed by the more affordable wines, as they have still been selected to impress.

Four of us were fortunate in securing a late booking over August Bank Holiday and boy, were we pleased. This is a charming, somewhat quirky, small restaurant with with pleasant and attentive staff and a first rate chef providing lovely food. We all chose something different from the small, but well-thought-out menu and each of us was delighted. We'll be... More

A delightful meal, neat innovative menu, slightly quirky setting. A chance to be cooked for by a young chef who has spent time in some very well known Michelin star kitchens. Don't worry, you don't get 2 peas, a small carrot and a drip of puré, you get a good plate of food. Our duck was excellent with a crisp... More

A charming restaurant on the high street in Cowes. Although the menu is not large, there is something for all, the food is freshly prepared and our food was excellent. Efficient, pleasant service. Would definitely go again.

Delicious fresh food off a small but varied menu served swiftly by a friendly, helpful waitress. Very enjoyable experience all round. Setting is interesting too.

Been for lunch now 4 times and had another absolutely fantastic meal. Rack of lamb the best I've ever had but everything stunning on each course. Understand that the owner will open for lunch if sufficient bookings but now mainly evenings.

This was our restaurant of choice in Cowes, having read the reviews and we were very glad we chose it! It was formerly a Butchers, hence the name and the tiled walls inside. We sat at a table in the front part of the restaurant which I liked as we could watch the world go by whilst enjoying the food.... More

We booked a table months ago having been told this was a really good place to eat. We certainly weren't disappointed. We had starters and main meals; lacking the room for a desert! The food was very tasty and the staff very friendly.
