Lovely little cafe with home cooked food

We had afternoon tea at this lovely little cafe in Cowes High St - freshly baked scones and really friendly service. The kids loved the Malteser milk- shakes.

How refreshing it is to stumble across an enticing little place which offers all that you would want for an unfussy, light lunch. After walking along the promenade from Gurnard to Cowes we were ready for just that. We bagged the single outside table with its world map top and the two chairs. The blackboard announced the day's soup (watercress)... More

Found by accident while waiting for a ferry today. Service is excellent and the food is above par for a small cafe. Great range of baguettes/sandwiches/paninis and other cafe food. I had the bacon, brie and cranberry baguette and it was excellent. They clearly use quality ingredients and the kitchen is visible from the dining area so you can see... More

New owners are obviously trying very hard to create a friendly atmosphere and serve good food. Good job and much needed on the IOW.

Good coffee and a lovely welcome. Attentive yet discreet service. Planned on a quick coffee but stayed for 3 hours, watching the world go by.

Just spent a lovely afternoon with friends in this little treasure. Staff were helpful and friendly with quick service. We were made very welcome and never were made to feel we had to eat and get out. Nice menu with plenty of choice. I had panini which was served quickly and was hot. Would recommend as a nice relaxing place.

I've been here a few times for lunch. Always very tasty. I recommend the jacket potatoes, the baguettes and the salads. A little bit on the "cosy" side inside so be prepared to feel a bit squished. But overall a good spot for a bite to eat.

We went into this café on a miserable Monday afternoon looking for a place to get out of the rain. Other cafés we went into were going to close soon so we kept looking till we came to Sails. When asked when they closed we were told, "5pm but if you stay longer then so will we". We were surprised... More

Having watched all of the yachts go out from Cowes we went for breakfast at Sails. It felt like the staff really didn’t know the ropes at all as everything was a little disjointed. The main let down is the fact they do not have any toilets and you are sent to the public toilets in the town which are... More

Had a very disappointing experience here, had 2 cups of coffee the first was as it should be but the second was prepared by someone else and I couldn't drink it, it was supposed to be latte but was very very strong. I ordered quiche but it arrived cold so they had to warm it up but was still only... More
