This restaurant is so unobtrusive we almost stumbled past, literally, well it was raining. The interior reflected the quintessential, beautiful home-cooked menu. The staff were welcoming, the food and wine were exquisite - top marks for the crab mousse, haddock pate, Sea bass with mango complemented by South African Viognier. This really is a little gem of an eaterie.

Small intimate place but the food and service were excellent. The salted caramel ice cream is to die for.

The food was fantastic. The environment was a bit like a good friends sitting room but that was not as problem. Service was not silver service, stuffy or overbearing but courteous and warm. A very comfortable restaurant where we could have dressed up in evening wear or turned up in jeans and still felt suitably attired. The food was possibly... More

No.3 has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, lovely food and lovely owners. I had the Monkfish with Spicy Mash which just hit the spot, then for dessert their homemade Salty Caramel Ice Cream. Would highly recommend.

eventually managed to book a table (its so popular) and were not disappointed. A bit quirky, homely and individual. The food was fantastic (although a rather limited choice). The service was extremely good, and it was good value for money. Will definitely be going back for some more Sea Bass it was mouth watering. Don't miss out on this little... More

Dined here last Friday evening as a pre-round-the-island meal. Easy to find on the main Bath Road in Cowes. We sat near the front in a smallish dining area. Not cramped. Fun, lively atmosphere experienced throughout evening. The daily choice is offered on individual blackboards - Starters, Mains and Desserts offered separately. About 4-5 choices depending on what is locally... More

The woman owner seemed to have to force herself to be enthusiastic, but was quite cold. The food was okay but portions very small and the wine list is very overpriced with the cheapest being a basic Sauvignon blanc at £20, most were over £30!

No 3 is one of our favourite restaurants in Cowes (the other one being Mojacs). It's a small and cosy place with a friendly hostess and a short, but well done, menu. Do leave room for the salted caramel ice cream which is amazing with a thick luxurious texture.

What a super little restaurant! Food is excellent. Wines are very good value. You must book at weekends.

We booked a few hours before we turned up on a Bank Holiday Sunday. Small restaurant, as said by the reviews. Good choice of fish with a couple of options on fillet steak. Both of us had mackerel pate to start - lovely. I had monkfish to follow (best I've had from anywhere); hubby had fillet steak with peppercorn sauce... More
