Birthday treat.

Hidden away location that's worth the walk to hunt it out, friendly service and great food. Been here several different times now and every time it doesn't disappoint.

You could walk passed this excellent restaurant without realising it was there. However, it's worth booking a meal as the food is beautifully cooked using locally sourced ingredients. Care and attention is offered to every guest by the front of house, with chilled water and bread served immediately whilst you decide from the limited, but varied menu. Our meals were... More

On a cold January evening we went to this very small and family owned restaurant in Cowes. In this very narrow (max 20 guests) restaurant we were impressed by the comprehensive wine list. The menu card was short but exclusive based on local raw materials. I had tender lamb served with vegetables and gravy. Excellent prepared, not too much not... More

It was a blustery and wet November evening... It was very quiet as only one other table, however this is a small venue and this didn't seem to matter. The menu has limited choices, however this to me means that they guarantee freshness and quality. The service was good and food was well presented and tasted good. I would recommend... More

I visited with a friend Friday evening. The food was just amazing. The very very best meal I have eaten in a long time. The host was really friendly and the entertainment was second to none! Thoroughly recommend visiting! I will be back when next in Cowes.

This small restaurant is just up the road from us. We get a lovely warm welcome and the food is always good. Trevor produces the food from a very small kitchen at the back and Jill looks after front of house. The food is definitely fine dining and is very reasonably priced.

I visited on a Thursday night when we were the only people dining. Still, that did not make the experience any less enjoyable. A lovely hostess and good food. A welcoming electric fire as you walk in makes you feel instantly warm. I do appreciate restaurants which provide free cold tap water on the table and delicious bread. A limited... More

Highly recommended by our B&B; it didn't disappoint. Delicious sea bass and very tender and tasty pork. You don't need a big menu when everything is so beautifully prepared. Really interesting wine list lead us to a delicious Chilean Carmenere. All washed down with perfect service.

We had a great meal here. Everything was cooked to order and they changed my husband's starter because he was concerned about red peppers (to which he is intolerant) despite the fact that they were comfident there were no peppers in it! Crab mousse was very good as were the sea bass and pork main courses. The cheese was excellent... More

We visited on a very quiet night and we were the only people in the restaurant. Service was good, food was excellent, great wine list however a little pricey if you just want a standard bottle of wine. We had a bottle of house wine which was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable meal.
