Dined here last Friday evening as a pre-round-the-island meal. Easy to find on the main Bath Road in Cowes. We sat near the front in a smallish dining area. Not cramped. Fun, lively atmosphere experienced throughout evening. The daily choice is offered on individual blackboards - Starters, Mains and Desserts offered separately. About 4-5 choices depending on what is locally... More

The woman owner seemed to have to force herself to be enthusiastic, but was quite cold. The food was okay but portions very small and the wine list is very overpriced with the cheapest being a basic Sauvignon blanc at £20, most were over £30!

No 3 is one of our favourite restaurants in Cowes (the other one being Mojacs). It's a small and cosy place with a friendly hostess and a short, but well done, menu. Do leave room for the salted caramel ice cream which is amazing with a thick luxurious texture.

What a super little restaurant! Food is excellent. Wines are very good value. You must book at weekends.

We booked a few hours before we turned up on a Bank Holiday Sunday. Small restaurant, as said by the reviews. Good choice of fish with a couple of options on fillet steak. Both of us had mackerel pate to start - lovely. I had monkfish to follow (best I've had from anywhere); hubby had fillet steak with peppercorn sauce... More

Did a sailing course and No.3 was recommended. 5 of us went for the evening. Yes, it is small but cozy. Not a lot of space between tables so you need to be comfortable being close to your friends. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. I had the Monkfish and whereas it was well cooked and presented, I found... More

My colleague and I were on a business trip to the Isoe of Wight and dined, on the recommendation of our hostess at our B&b, at this lovely tiny restaurant in the centre of Cowes. The couple running the restaurant were charming and the food was simply the best that we have eaten on the I o W. It rivalled... More

The restaurant is tiny - only 20 covers, and hidden in the corner just around a bend in the road, so it is very easy to miss; but it would be a shame to do so because it is really rather good. I started with the crab mousse with prawns (£5.50) and followed with the fillet steak with red onion... More

We have eaten several times at No 3 and it has always been very good. It is a small 24-ish cover restaurant with a small menu, nice atmosphere, good service and a friendly welcome. The food is cooked fresh, to a high standard and well presented. If you want good, claasic cuisine, done properly, then this is the place. As... More
