We stumbled upon this place during our visit to Cowes. This is a really nice quaint restaurant, the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was okay, not fantastic and I felt the prices were maybe a little steep for what you get. However, the atmosphere in the place is great and I wouldn't be... More

We had visited this place 3 years ago and it was wonderful, so taking a Bank Holiday trip to the island we took the opportunity for another visit. Knowing it would be busy we were lucky enough to get a table although upstairs which isn't as cosy as down below. The service was polite and efficient. A jug of iced... More

We stumbled across this restaurant during Cowes week. The food is very tasty and the staff were very friendly. It's a very cosy small restaurant and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. There was a variety of food on the menu to cater for everyone. It's not cheap but if you fancy an upmarket dinner in Cowes this... More

This restaurant has a cosy feel and the service was very attentive. The menu had very interesting dishes, including many vegetarian options. Our starters were: Seafood chowder and Verdi Crepe with smoked haddock (that was delicious), our mains were: Honey and ginger duck on hoisin stir fry (duck was slightly overcooked and a bit dry but the dish was very... We visited on race day 21st June and we managed to get a booking for dinner. The place was busy and had a great atmosphere and the service is very friendly. The food is delicious and surpassed by expectations and there are plenty of choices- especially for vegetarians - a welcome treat! The portions are generous too. I had portobello... More

We went to the Red Duster with family and had a very good dinner. The food was good and inventive and the ambience was great. Was very quiet on the night that we were there but it is quite small so this in no way took away from the atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

Having forgotten that it was the day of the Round the Island Race, things weren't looking up for the weekend, but we managed to get a prime spot in the marina, so that was a good start. Then came the problem of dinner - Cowes was going to be packed. I tried to get a table at Tonino's, but things... More

The Red Duster was across the street from our hotel and we stepped in for dinner after talking an evening walk around the town. The woman who waited on us was a co-owner with her husband who was the chef. The decor was charming, the service was friendly and efficient, and the food was tasty and well-prepared and well-presented.

We were pleased to find this lovely restaurant on a Sunday evening when many were closed. We found the seafood and ribeye steak were a good value and the service good. The proportions were generous and worth a visit.

Five of of us visited without a reservation (it was a Monday evening) and we were made very welcome by the waiter. We all thought we could eat any of the options on the menu and the decision as to what to choose was our only problem. Food and drink and service was excellent, if there was a slight negative...
