Great value in a family restaurant.

She serves and is great - busy or quiet always has time for her clients. He cooks and food is wholesome, plentiful and nice. Room is nautical and comfortable and overall don't go if you're looking for modern but for comfort food and good old fashioned hospitality this is the number one place in... read more

We have dined at the Red Duster several time and have never been let down. In fact we found Niki to be one of the best and friendliest waitresses ever. The food is wonderful freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Nothing is too much trouble and the cosy feeling and relaxed atmosphere is wonderful.

I booked the restaurant through Neil for 64 people on Friday for our client sailing event. I could not have been happier. What a fabulous opportunity to dock at the harbour, walk through the town a bit and find this little gem. I had no idea what I was getting into and it was a bit of a gamble. However,... More

I had the pleasure of visiting the Red Duster on a visit to the Isle of Wight in early April this year. Set close to the quay it is not a large restaurant but full of character. The food was excellent for the four of us and the my fish pie the best I have tasted. The owner was very... More

We've been walking past the Red Duster on and off for a couple of decades and finally took the decision to go in on Sunday night. We were greeted by a lovely enthusiastic lady who is the partner of the chef/owner. She clearly knew the menu inside out and uttered the magic words a coeliac loves to hear - "choose... More

We picked this place at random, very nice food and wine. A little gem in the centre of town, very quiet for a Friday night, we were the only ones in there, don't understand why, it was fantastic.

This was a visit on a March evening when only two of us were present. However every effort was made to provide excellent food, service and company. I learned a lot about poker from the waiter! I would certainly return any time of the year.

We visited recently midweek and were the only customers! It was a cold evening and the waiter brought the little heater to our table. The service was as good as at any normal time. The waiter was very friendly and chatty.the food was excellent and not over price, a very wide ranging selection of dishes. The size of the portions... More

We have eaten here a number of times over the last 4 years and can highly recommend this restaurant as a top favourite. We have never had a bad meal or experience here. The staff are wonderful, attentive and give a great service. There is a great veggie menu, and great fish and meat dishes. The food is always fantastic.

Excellent meal. 6 of us in all, ordering various dishes. I had the fillet steak and I can tell you, it was cooked to perfection...the whole dish was mouth wateringly good! The staff are so, so friendly and helpful and really can't do enough to help you. The place itself dates back to around 1650 (or so the lady there... More
