Good food. Great service. I will return!

I'm sure many people have been in the position my friends and I were this weekend: wandering the Cowes high street and, after being told the most popular place was full, taking a punt on a new place. Good fish & chips, reasonably priced too. The haddock was very fresh & tasted lovely. The chips were in small & medium portions but the medium size was larger than you first think tasted great too.

We hesitated a bit before trying this restaurant, as it doesn't look like much from the outside. But the menu tempted us and - and I am SO glad! The food is sensational. We are used to top-quality and spanking fresh seafood on the island, but this was outstanding. Wonderful crab, superb smoked salmon, gorgeous lobster - and great chips!... More

We went to Murry's for their set menu and enjoyed a very good experience. I started with their fish soup, which was excellent. My wife had a selection of smoked salmon. I decided on the steak, and was very pleased with the offering. My wife had a cod dish which was cooked to perfection. This was followed by a good... More

Lots of reviews on Tripadvisor referencing the tired decor etc but they miss the point. Murrays does excellent seafood in a traditional setting. We ate here on a quiet Wednesday evening and had attentive but not intrusive service. Starters (Tomato/Rocket salad & squid) and main course (Salmon & Cod) were excellent. The Pinot Grigio rose is ideal with seafood in... More

My colleagues and I visted this restaurant again on our annual visit to the Regatta. Its the cultural bit of our couple of days out. Last year was our discovery, this year the revisit - pilgramige. Its a wonderful restaurant, great owners and the freshest fish! The menu and specials board cover so many dishes, and also a great wine... More

We booked here for a birthday meal and having looked on trip advisor saw this was quite a highly rated fish restaurant so looked forward to a real treat. The food is, without doubt, well cooked and fresh. Fairly priced. You just can't get away from the fact that the place is tired and dated. No ambience at all.

Looks small from the outside, but there is extra room out the back. The menu had great choice to choose from, all fresh fish. I chose from the set menu. The dish I would have chosen had been replaced but the staff were kind enough to say that it could still be made for me. Food tasted amazing, great value... More

Had all three courses and have to say was a little disappointed with the starter which was some kind of prawn medley which wasn't very tasty BUT the main course "cod in a lobster sauce" was amazing, served with new potatoes and seasonal veg it will always be remembered. Had meringue and ice team for dessert and this was very... More

An old Cowes stalwart but sad to say better days are far behind. Tired and unimaginative, old fashioned presentation and really nothing special on the produce side either and that isn't great when you take into account it's not a cheap place to go. I'm sure it's better when it's busy but that's not that often it seems. Great if... More
