The food was very average and in our opinion very poor value for money. I started with a special of Japanese prawns which whilst ok were very similar to those I regularly buy at M&S. My husband chose the fish soup from the set menu. There was no fish to be seen it was just a really thick soup with... More

A slightly shabby interior masks the good service and food, with an emphasis on fish, nicely cooked and presented. The menu could be more adventurous but the table d'hote is great value and is recommended.

This is a good choice of a fish-based restaurant. Excellent crab soup if you are lucky enough to find it on the menu when you visit.

It was time for the brother in laws and one nephew to escape wives and shopping. Murrays have a concise and very reasonably priced seafood menu pushing local produce. The scallops, mussels and dover sole were super fresh and very well cooked, great service - what's not to like? It's great to see a family run restaurant - we'll be... More

I visited Murrays on the last Saturday in September with my Wife and her mother and was very pleasantly surprised both by the quality of the the food and the pleasant easygoing but attentive service. The fresh plaice was cooked to perfection, as was the fresh salmon, and the chicken chosen by my wife. I will certainly be back the... More

Had a nice meal here. Two course set menu lunch. The hake in cheese sauce was delicious. Not much atmosphere it's true but if you're more interested in the food you'll be happy.
