I am so pleased that this place never changes. Nothing needs to change. A well run business with good staff great food and a fantastic setting. We always look forward to coming here and are never disappointed.

We have visited the Bonchurch Inn on several occasions and it always exceeds expectations. Our latest visit was Saturday evening which was a really busy night but the staff just kept on going and the food was amazing. It amuses me that a previous review questions the life changing lasagne and another the suggests the crab is frozen - trust... More

This is a lovely local pub with incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, but the food lets it down. Believing the Italian spin we ordered the Antipasto. Salami, ham & pepperoni could have been Tesco. Crab and prawns were defrosted, no balsamic for the salad. Pâté was served with thick sliced white toasted bread. Main Course - steak and chips, Aunt... Visited for a lunch with friends and could not have been made more welcome. As it was a sunny day we ate in the courtyard. The food was just wonderful , the best garlic bread ever followed by delicious fish main courses, two of us had sea food pasta which was packed with prawns, mussels and squid in a tasty... More

Food was fantastic, freshly prepared top notch italian cuisine. Serving staff couldnt do enough to help, and the litle courtyard is a gem of a find.

Superb Bombardier Bitter from barrel. Sweet and perfect as you could wish for. Steak was superb as was Adrian's special of rock salmon. Oh I forgot the Ventnor Bay crab starter. NOT CHEAP but then this IS special.

We ventured back to this establishment after having a meal there in 2012. On that occasion the food wasn't the as good as we had hoped for. I wrote a critical review, then got nasty emails from the proprietor. On this occasion the food was ok. The "Life changing lasagne" has still yet to work. But hey ho, we live... More

No coincidence that we chose the Bonchurch Inn for our Ruby Wedding anniversary meal. We eat at this inn whenever we visit the island. Atmosphere is unique and the food has always been top quality. The life-changing lasagne is particularly irresistable but in fairness all the food is quality. Would suggest pre-booking as the inn can be very busy especially... More

This is one of the most charming places I have ever been. The setting is olde world and transports you back in time. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is superb and the whole ambience of the place makes for a truly memorable experience. Definitely worth a visit.

We can't come to the island without paying at least one visit to this charming pub. Its unspoilt and friendly and they really do serve the BEST lasagne (and tiramisu)! I hope it never changes.
