I went today with a lunch club I belong to, 10 of us turned up only to find we had not been booked in, the Man behind the bar said he had one off sick but was happy to accommodate us, so we all got our drinks ordered and waited some an hour but we were all talking and didn't... More

It may have been the hot weather, but this isn't the pub for a relaxing Sunday afternoon beer. Too many geezers with dogs for my liking. It says real cask ales but there are only two on tap, which was a bit disappointing. If your with kids it's probably for you, as they have a large garden and bouncy castle.... More

Nice local pub with a range of ales, lagers, and ciders on tap. Large selection of wines. Food is really tasty and good value for money. Entertainment is on most weekends ranging from bands to acoustic sets, the regular disco is a good night playing a vast range of music. Sky sports and BT sports are available. Theres a large... Myself and two friends went to the Black Horse today for our Lunch, it is central to the town and to where I live, it had only opened at 12 noon so a little empty but we carried on and we ordered my food was excellent and my two friends enjoyed there's as well..

Not had a Sunday lunch for ages, decided to try said pub above, not the best I've had. 2 slices of thin beef over cooked, 2 small roast potatoes, little veg, but what made it different was just to much gravy to the point it covered the inner rim of the plate, my peas were doing the front crawl, and... Nice atmosphere, clean, good old fashioned pub. Bit of a haven to go to at lunchtime during the working week. Go at least once most weeks. Friendly staff. If I lived locally I would certainly make it my local!

I wanted something local as my friend only had an hour for lunch as she was working, I did try to find a menu on-line but I couldn't get into their site so I phoned them and they very kindly emailed me one, which made it easier to decide if the food was suitable to cook in about 15 minutes,... We had another lovely meal with our children in this pub. The roasts were delicious plenty of vegetables and choice of meats. Though my husband and son did say the potatoes were a bit too hard. I had the thai curry again and again it was amazing! The boys loved the sticky toffee pud with custard. Staff were polite and... More
