Thank goodness for the customer service of the waitress!

Slow, Slow, Slower This restaurant might be trying to get in the Guinness world records for slow service, nearly 3 hours for dinner was ridiculous. The restaurant was busy but that should not be an excuse, when we asked the waiter what the problem was he said there was nothing he could do about it, he puts the food orders... More

I arrived at the Crows Nest at 3:00pm and was advised that a table for four would be available at 3:45. No problem. We had a drink in the bar....unfortunately the bar staff do not know how to pull real ale. (Bombadier). At 3:45 we were shown to our table.....after 20 minutes our server arrived to take our order....more delays... More

arrived about 12.30 and asked for a table for 3, told there would be 3/4 hour to an hour wait . Looking around, all I could see was row upon row of empty tables. Seems like they're short staffed. ( or got a very poor kitchen).

We had a decent meal here and food seems to have improved since the recent refurbishment. Great if you can get a seat in the conservatory as wonderful views across Aylesbury Vale. Service was okay, if a little slow, so had to do a little bit of waving to get waitress's attention. We had the fillet steak and mixed grill... More

Had breakfast everyday (5), service was slow sometimes over 30 mins to get cooked. Food below avage and tasteless. Coffee poor and only warm at best. Bread often dry close to stale.

Prior to the re-furb this restaurant was looking a little tired, however, the food was always good and I'm glad to say this hasn't changed. We decided to give the restaurant a chance to find it's feet prior to visiting after the refurb as there is normally a rush to be the first in and we wanted to avoid this.... More

Turned away by the staff as only half the restaurant was open. This during school holidays and on a rainy Monday was unforgivable. I was visiting with my children and grandchildren for the first time for years, Needless to say, it will be my last visit.

This was our second visit for Sunday lunch, thought we would give it another try after the refurb and a not very satisfactory 1st visit - they had run out of the beef....... at 1pm????? Booked table for 2pm and on arrival it was 10mins before we were even acknowledged. Despite more than one staff member walking right past us... More
