We had a lovely evening here. A gorgeous looking pub with a great garden! All the food was excellent, especially the chips!! We have just moved to Tring and will definitely be visiting again. Well worth a visit, must be stunning in the summer!

We had won a day cruise on the Grand Union Canal from Pitstone Wharf and planned to stop here for lunch. Are we glad we did! The pub is in a lovely situation by the canal and has a great garden (weather was fantastic so we ate outdoors). There was a good choice of well-kept real ales, including Red Dawn... More

We stopped here for lunch during a walk around the reservoirs serving the Grand Union Canal. Excellent menu and good beer. The pulled pork bap with chips was excellent especially as it came as a deal which included a pint of real ale.

We have often stopped here for a drink when we walk along the canal tow path and always said that we will eat here one day. Well we did last Sunday 31/8/14 and what a lovely meal we had. It was one of the best roast dinner that I have eaten and my wife had sea bream which was also... More

Very disappointed with this restaurant. When we arrived it did not appear to be busy. However the time we had to wait for our meal, having ordered at the bar, was unacceptable. When we were eventually served we had to send one of the meals back as it was inedible. We had no problem with the front of house staff... More

We had fish & chips to fortify ourselves before a walk canalside. The food was good, fresh, plentiful and the service was fast. I would have preferred actual peas rather than the 'pea mayonnaise' - served on the side in a small jar. Stylish maybe but lacking feral flavour, that's just a small gripe though. We found ourselves perfectly located... More

Unfortunately on our visit I found the staff to be rude and not welcoming at all. Very dismissive to customers. The pub had a nice decor.

Since my 2 last visits to Grand Junction which were very poor and disappointing, as it's our local I thought I would try 1 last time for a positive experience. It worked! Friday lunchtime, sunny day with 18mth daughter and mother in law. Despite being quite busy, the service at the bar for a food order was quick and before... More
