This is a great starting point if you want to savour the quiet and simplicity of a walk along the Grand Union Canal. This restaurant has a superb location right on the canal. It has a very spacious open air area for eating and drinking outside with a generous play area for kids. The food they serve is always to... More

A group of us had a very good meal here - service was also good. Prices were about right for the quality and there was a good choice of dishes and beers. Looks like a very good Christmas menu this year - book early! This is an ideal pub for walking the Grand Union - with a good car park

We were a group of 8 walkers cold and wet after Saturday's downpour. We decided to stop at the Junction Arms for drinks and lunch. I politely asked the chap behind the bar if we could have the small stove in the bar lit as we were wet and cold. I did not receive a polite reply. Rather diatribe a... More

Two out of three of us were satisfied with our food. Our friend had ordered a starter for lunch, at four pound fifty. Mushroom rarebit on toast seemed to be enough for a light lunch, but it was barely adequate for a starter. We ordered sandwiches, both with very healthy portions, my spouse's Brie was excellent, while my crayfish with... More

Had dinner here with the wife (sat outside) in July & lunch with a party of walkers (sat inside) in August. Both meals were OK & their home made burgers are really nice. However, I feel their food is over-priced. Service is good & attentive, but the pub inside is rather bland & uninspiring. GOOD TIP : Visit on a... More

This canal-side pub has been fully renovated - modern, open-plan and bright, what it may lack in character it makes up for in space and light. Good food, if a little pricey, the Grand Junction is popular with the locals. Even on a Monday lunchtime it was buzzing with a wide range of ages and stages. The staff were coping... More

We had a lovely evening here. A gorgeous looking pub with a great garden! All the food was excellent, especially the chips!! We have just moved to Tring and will definitely be visiting again. Well worth a visit, must be stunning in the summer!

We had won a day cruise on the Grand Union Canal from Pitstone Wharf and planned to stop here for lunch. Are we glad we did! The pub is in a lovely situation by the canal and has a great garden (weather was fantastic so we ate outdoors). There was a good choice of well-kept real ales, including Red Dawn... More
