Excellent food and service

Whilst visiting Leominster I found a small family run cafe. I entered to premise and had a very warm welcome from the hostess. Looking through the menu it seemed to cater for all types, with a great range of hot meal, sandwiches, cakes etc, Everything you would want from a cafe. I went for the beef... read more

Wandering around Leominster on a cold grey Saturday, we were in need of sustenance and found ourselves outside the Emporium. A mix of olde style tea rooms and gift shop, we were greeted by a friendly lady who gave us the menu, took our drinks order and went off to resolve a 'matter' with another lady (both out of our... I went in the Emporium Tea Rooms on a grey midweek lunchtime as the menu in the window looked OK. Ordered pork cooked in cider. Took 20 mins to arrive and was basically a dollop of pork casserole on top of a terminally burnt baked potato. I have enclosed a photo which while not very clear does show the burned... More

Unfortunately we didn't read the reviews before we visited! Looking in through the window this cafe looked quite appealing but as soon as we walked in we realised we'd made a mistake. The owner was having a very loud conversation with another customer to the point we couldn't hear our own conversation. The scone was re-heated in the microwave -... More

My ham, cream cheese and tomato sandwich was very well presented and tasted great. The staff were polite and friendly but not too overbearing, which can happen in small tearooms. Really enjoyed my visit.

I was the other guest : I think that was a very kindly written review. Cake could not pass as coffee and walnut and when I suggested it more likely to be date and walnut I was shot down in flames (and still charged despite it not having been eaten) Service was just plain rude!

Visited today at lunchtime. Reminded us of a 'Little Britain' sketch and would have remained comical had they not charged us full price. The bizarre things included a 20 min wait for the order to be taken, the wrong teas being served (peppermint and milk is a strange combination), only a couple of cakes available (less than half of what... Passed by this little cafe on the way home from a week in North Wales. We were so pleased to come across such a warm, friendly and eccentric place. We were greeted by both of the ladies in the cafe and sat down to our table. The cafe is sit down service ( which I always love) and we ordered... More

We loved everything in this interesting, individual and unique tearoom. Everything is homemade and comforting. Very reasonably priced and delicious.

my wife and i visited on a rainy friday morning having looked in about half an hour earlier. the place appealed because of the antique/ bizarre interior which was visable by looking in the window. the lady who i presume was the owner was very pleasant and chatty and made us feel welcome. we both had a bacon sarnie and...
