Visited the old palace for a drink a week ago. Great atmosphere with a real local feel. Lots of characters enjoying a drink here from the dentist to a successful global entrepreneur. If you're in kings Langley pop in for a drink and a plate of delicious food.

This is our second experience of the pub - but family members regard it as their regular 'local' and as such it seems very satisfactory. The weather was kind to us, so we were able to sit outside for a good while and chat in the quiet of the pub garden. Inside, however, the noise from the television-watchers (a rugby... More

We met with parents of our young childrens friends to see the halloween evening which was excellent. Lovely display set out in their small garden which I found very impressive for a small business to have put together. A real effort made with an excellent outside display. Good selection of drinks and fairly decent food. If you have young kids... More

We've been here a couple of times before and always found the staff to be very friendly but the food to be average. Not last night, my burger was def home made and delicious and my husband loved his steak and chips (and he's pretty fussy about his steaks!). We'll def be back.

Went there Wednesday evening 24th July just for a drink. We were made to feel very welcome. There was a bit of a crowd due to a local Morris Side dancing there. Great fun was had by all. Good choice of Ale and the menu looks good and varied. The new Manageress is very welcoming (only their fourth week in... More

THIS PUB IN UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT what a difference! It was so nice to be greeted politely by the attentive bar staff on arrival, This pub offers a choice of daily specials and a sunday roast . The pub is children and dog friendly. Not a single fruit machine in site. The food is cooked to order and the sunday roast... More

Six of us ate here last saturday and what a disaster! Pleasant bar downstairs lulled us into a false sense of security. Bleak dining room upstairs, matched by poor service and worse food. Homecooking (despite what it says on the menu) this is not! We all agreed that normally we would have sent it back and refused to pay but... More

Went here with friends for the first time, sadly won't be going back !!! Service very slow, not much clue how to wait on customers but very pleasant and helpful. food was ok, the steaks tasted very good but had too much gristle and the casserole lacked any vegetables. Would guess that they had a distinct lack of staff !!... More

The 'Old Palace' is a nice friendly locals pub. A little on the 'rustic' side, but none the less good. Excellent pint of cider and good beer. We both had a good homemade burger with garlic and truffle oil. Very tasty! It was accompanied with a choice of fat chips or skinny fries and salad etc. very well presented. Lovely... More
