Had an enjoyable evening out here. The staff were very friendly and the menu choice varied. On the down side the waiting staff were forgetful eg when asked for a jug of water, and one of the starters briefly went missing. Two of us had the starter of black pudding with poached eggs. They tasted fine but would have been... More

Food wasn't so good. Very salty and a bit greasy. Service was rather slow. Nice place to sit, and a good buzz to the restaurant, but I was a bit disappointed.

Such a lovely restaurant. Really friendly staff, busy atmosphere, tasty food. Went with a friend and we were well looked after, and we didn't feel rushed or like we were expected to leave as soon as we had finished. Would definitely go again.

The waiter who took our order was so rude (to be charitable, probably because of the inadequacy of his English) that, if we had not been in a group, we would have left then. The second waiter brought starters but disappeared so quickly that he didn't notice we had no cutlery, nor had we time to tell him. Fortunately there... More

Took some friends who had been kind to us but felt that we were not being kind to them. One of the starters was Black pudding not very authentic. We placed our order, after waiting a considerable time three received their starters and one of us was told that they had run out of the fish starter, consequently one of... More

Surprised to see two bad reviews prior to writing this... Had liver with chutney for starter; best starter I have had for a long time. My partner had snails, not my choice but did try one and won't be ordering snails in future but he liked them. Main course ordered was King Prawns with saffron rice, very tasty. Partner had... More

Food was over cooked and i waited quite sometime for the food. Atmosphere was poor. Setting wasn't fantasic although it has improved a little in recent times. Over all given the whole experience i dont think i could recommend this restaurant

We have been here before and the restaurant never fail to deliver great food and service within an unpretentious atmosphere. If you want an authentic Italian restaurant in a lovely setting in Old Hemel this is the place. The staff are always friendly and professional and the food and wine are all reasonably priced. Alberto the owner is always on hand... More

Went with my daughter who enthused about this little, pretty restaurant. Because of this I was expecting more. My calamari was a dirty brown colour. My pork was average, and the tiramisu was slopped on the plate. I suspect Brake brothers? Service a little slow, and we had to ask for the bill when we had clearly finished eating 20+... More

This is one of the nicest genuine italian restaurants that I know. Have been here before and the restaurant never fails to deliver. Real home cooked food and served with pleasure. No microwave use. great flavours will visit time and again.
