Cuisines: Indian
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Dinner, Reservations, Delivery, Late Night
Description: Uniquely styled, Hemel Hempstead’s K2 Balti House is situated on Two Waters Road, close to the banks of the River Gade, and between the very centre of Hemel Hempstead and the smaller area of Kings Langley. You won’t miss the restaurant - an imposing white painted building with its pillared entrance and statement blue neon exterior lighting. It has an eye-catching design with a very modern style, which continues on into the Restaurant itself, where comfort meets chic in the most dynamic of ways. Superb views out over pretty countryside scenery are enjoyed in the Conservatory area, while outdoor decking and Restaurant Terraces provide lovely "al fresco" dining away from the hubbub of the town centre. Service is extremely personable here at K2, with staff all trained to a very high standard, providing a truly professional but welcoming service.

We have always found the food very good here and meals well-cooked. Staff have been friendly and we have not experienced pushiness described elsewhere. We usually go for a special occasion but have had Sunday lunch meal as well.

Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Hemel which has great interior and food to match. We always enjoy going to K2, normally for a family meal, and the welcome, service and food is always good. They offer a great menu with plenty of choice for everyone and the food is always of a high standard, quality and most of all... More

Thankfully an Indian restaurant that understands that the food shouldn't be swimming in a bowl of creamy gunk. The service was excellent and both starters were scrummy. The mains were excellent and I didn't have a plate swimming in greasy sauce. The surroundings are airy and modern. The best Indian in Hemel by far.

The food is excellent - very fresh and 'home made' without the bright colourings usually found in India restaurant dishes. Service very good and a lovely atmosphere.

Went here for a birthday and it was a real treat. Attention to detail and food presentation is excellent. Cleanliness is superb. Service is second to none. Prices are affordable and I expected the bill to be more as the place is so good. Definitely recommended for any occasion.

Have dined here on numerous occasions and the standards are consistently maintained. The restaurant leads through a dining room, close to the bar, into a light and airy 'L' shaped conservatory area, overlooking an immaculate garden and water feature. Personally, I prefer the conservatory tables. A warm welcome preceded attentive service and my only adverse comment would be that, whilst... More

The K2 Balti House has become a regular place to have dinner for us as it is close to my employer's local office and the dining experience is good for business as well as for personal events. As some state, it not particularly cheap, but the freshness of the food, the taste, the range of choices and the level of... More

Hemel Hempstead is not exactly a culinary hot spot and a visit to K2 exemplifies everything that's wrong with the restaurant circuit in this blandest of towns. The meal mirrored this: unimaginative, lacking in taste and unnecessarily expensive. The prawn starter was the start of this particular mundane gastronomic adventure. It didn't help that half way through my starter, I... More

Went on Sat 19 Jul, was quite busy but tool nearly an hour to order! As the food was pricey (£10-15 for a main) I was expecting something amazing but sadly it was mediocre at best. In total it cost the best part of £60 for two people and that's without starters! Very nice decor but sadly that's the best... More

Superb choice of food and friendly staff who like to make you feel welcome. Had the Naga Curry which was really tasty but on the hot side.
