Description: Uniquely styled, Hemel Hempstead’s K2 Balti House is situated on Two Waters Road, close to the banks of the River Gade, and between the very centre of Hemel Hempstead and the smaller area of Kings Langley. You won’t miss the restaurant - an imposing white painted building with its pillared entrance and statement blue neon exterior lighting. It has an eye-catching design with a very modern style, which continues on into the Restaurant itself, where comfort meets chic in the most dynamic of ways. Superb views out over pretty countryside scenery are enjoyed in the Conservatory area, while outdoor decking and Restaurant Terraces provide lovely "al fresco" dining away from the hubbub of the town centre. Service is extremely personable here at K2, with staff all trained to a very high standard, providing a truly professional but welcoming service.

I would give the place 10 out of 10 for appearance. You think you've arrived at a Hollywood movie set when approaching the venue and car park! No Arnie or Stallone in sight but the parking attendant is out there helping visitors. A nice touch. Here's where I have a problem with the venue. It's just too over the top... More

Not a bad restaurant but expensive for what it is and what it serves. The curries are standard dishes and the portions ok but it's just a posh curry house when there are other better ones in Hemel.

Live bug crawled out of the salad on my starter, they replaced and then my chicken was raw. Only took £4.95 off the bill and didn't see that this was much of an issue over all? I do! Then ordered us a taxi and told them the wrong address, however what I would say is that outside looks pretty.

Revisited the K2 recently and it maintains the good marks I gave on my last review for welcome, ambience and depth of menu. Service is attentive, if slightly comedic at times. Several staff attempt to be humourous on occasion - sometimes it just doesn't come off. Stick to your normal good service and leave the stand up routines to the... More

Forget St. Albans this place has authentic indian food made by real natives as opposed to Bengali or Pakistani! The mixed grills were yummy!!!!! The condiments selection is incredible and I am a real popadum fan!!!! I'd go there just to eat popadum n grills! The currys will appear dry n old looking but taste excellent all ingredients used no... More

This is a restaurant that was once an old pub. The rear of the restaurant overlooks as lovely floodlit garden and makes for a nice place to eat. The food is of good quality reflecting a well delivered traditional curry house menu with some added novelty .It is a little pricer than its competitors but it is able to justify... More

The title says it all really, a lovely big restaurant, so didn't feel like you were sitting on the next tables laps. Staff were pleasant and attentive, nice choice of food on the menu and tasted great....prices were reasonable too. If I could find fault, it'd be with the parking facilities. For a restaurant of their size, there was only... More

We had dinner on a busy Saturday night and the restaurant was 'buzzing' with a great atmosphere. Although busy there was plenty of space so we did not feel crowded and the staff could easily cope with the numbers. There is a wide choice on the menu which appears to cater to a wide spectrum of spicing from mild to... More
