Food is Great, Decor Not So!

We went in to place a takeaway order. Been a while since I had been in there and normally I would give the restaurant 5 points, but unfortunately I can't, due to the state of the place. We had given our order, received a free drink, but then I managed to see inside a bit of the kitchen. Didn't... read more

The guru is a fantastic Indian restaurant that we have been going to for the past 6 years. My 6 year old son has always been welcome and the staff always make a special fuss of him.. Which makes our visit very personal. We have celebrated many a family occasion i.e. birthday anniversary and never been disappointed . we always... More

Eat here quite often and the food is always good, can get very busy even during the week so best to book. Never feel rushed in here and the staff are always lovely. Excellent value for money on banquet nights.

Visited here on the off chance. Small dark interior. Filled up fast even on a weeknight so you might want to call ahead. All our choices were delicious and staff very polite. However main course did take quite a long time to arrive. Fine if you want to make a whole night of it.

Went here on Sunday evening at 7pm. When we walked in the door we had to find a member of staff and tell them we had a reservation after waiting 5 minutes whilst being ignored. We then sat down and had our drinks ordered taken, which they didn't bring, then 20 minutes later they took our drinks order again and... More

An evening out with 14 work colleagues was booked for 6.30pm. We were not in a rush but were somewhat surprised by the failings. Parts of the main course finally arrived for some at 8.30 and then kept arriving piecemeal for the next 10 to 15 minutes. Some of the low points of which there were plenty amongst our group:... I called the staff who quickly removed the metal from my hand. After this I really could not eat anything... More

One of my favourite curry houses in Hemel. Portions are good, as is the food and the service. The restaurant itself is beginning to look a bit tired now but that's only a minor gripe.
