Proper country pub with good food. Very busy need to book. The tempura fish on stir fry was lovely and the pigeon pâté was rich and flavoursome. Worth a visit. We went for a late lunch to avoid the family sitting, that worked well.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, with really tasty and succulent chicken. Food never disappoints. The puddings are fab too, the deep fried nutella or jam sandwiches are fantastic! They also do little handmade chocolates and coffee, if you don't want a big pudding after the rather large portions of food, which is a lovely idea.

Had Mother's Day lunch here today with my daughter - our first visit. The food was excellent - nicely cooked and presented with good sized portions. Attentive and knowledgeable staff - the pub/restaurant is in a pleasant part of Hertfordshire.
