Dinner with a group of 15 on a Tuesday evening. Papadoms, chutneys, main, side, rice, naan, cobras, coffees, tip, £25 per head. I had Sizzling chicken Murg and Brinjal Bhaji which were very tasty. The menu has been updated since my last visit a couple of months ago. I think the new menu prices are now a fraction lower, and... More

went for dinner last night, had the sharing plate, lamb was a little tough but not inedible, then the peri peri chicken Balti madras hot, nice level of heat but with lots of flavours coming through, only negative was one of the poppadoms (which come with lots of condiments) was a little stale, but overall, a very nice experience, would... Love this Indian restaurant. We hadn't been there for a while but have eaten there twice in the last month. New menu and absolutely scrumptious. When eating Indian food I do not normally finish all my food but over the last two visits it's been clear plates all round. Great service too! Only thing is they always want to take... More

This restaurant is one of my favourite restaurants in Harpenden. There is an excellent choice of Indian and Bangladeshi food which is always appetisingly and creatively presented to woo the palate. We have been there over the past few years and we are recognised each time we call. There is great variety of food and desserts. It never fails. They... More

We have been going here for years now and it is a reliable favourite. Good service. Just 2 observations, can we have draft beer please and maybe just lose the free chocolates and knock a pound off the bill?

I expected more from a restaurant in Harpenden and believed this place had a good reputation. It was an average Indian serving average food and nothing special...I'm Indian by the way. When I asked the waiter if his mother would be happy with what we were served he replied that it had been a very busy evening! I'll take that... More

The Cafe Jeera has been turning out consistent and delicious food for years now. I think it’s better priced the Cinnamon (up the road), and it’s more comfy inside. Cannot fault it. And they do Kingfisher in pints..... perfect!

Tried for the 1st time with good friends on Saturday night - liked the menu as had a few different items like Salmon Tikka and Monkfish. Starters all delicious, our curry was just the right heat and had great flavours although our friends found it a tad too hot -but perfect for us! Service was very prompt and seemed good... More

We have visited several times over the past few years and have never been able to fault the food or service. The restaurant has an authentic feel and good atmosphere so it is the Indian in Harpenden I would always choose for a special occasion. Monkfish curry particularly good and difficult to find in other Indian restaurants. I was slightly... More
