It's alright

Decent beer selection. Loud, rowdy patrons after dark - turns into some kind of club at night. Takes a while to be served.

Myself and my family have been coming to this place for years and I can honestly say in the past couple of months the once lovely, welcoming family place has become a disaster. The new manager (I assume he's the manager by the way he acts) is just rude and cold, only a couple of the polite old staff that... More

Plates stacked on tables, disinterested staff (not busy), kids jumping on the chairs and filthy furniture - worn, stained and with the sides stuffed with old crisps and crumbs. It was like being in an airport café – we only stayed for a drink; changed our mind about eating when we saw the remnants on the piled-up plates.

A few of us ventured inn on NYE for a drink and we left out drinks within 5 minutes they were so bad. The beer was some low fat thing which I'm not sure why they served that ( maybe they were trying to tell us something ) and the wine is just that sweet cheap stuff you get in... More

Good consistent food and good selection of drinks. We do go back all the time even though the service is really not good due to the fact that they never have enough staff so the ones that are there do not have the attention to detail that they should have which is a pity. Having said that it is still... More

Burgers are always a good bet, service friendly and quick. Good range of beer, lager and wine. We also went for pre dinner cocktails on Boxing Day evening.

We went on a Monday early evening to take advantage of the 50% food discount. It was my wife's birthday and we had been out at the weekend for a "proper" celebration but this was just to save cooking and clearing up etc. As I start work at 3am we went early, about 5.30pm with a view to being home... Visited today - very busy - Christmas shoppers etc! Managed to get a table, waitress was completely run off her feet - more staff definitely needed. Ordered breakfast - £6.55 including a large coffee and tea. Took a little while to arrive, but acceptably so, as so busy. Piping hot and very good value for money.
