the food at this pub as absolutely terrible with Iceland level frozen dishes that are bland and uninteresting. the price of 16 pounds for a starter and main was outrageous, you could buy better food for a fiver at a wetherspoons. it was a con, and the staff where almost as rude as the food was to my mouth.

After expecting high expectations from previous visits. I wasn't very impressed with the afternoon high tea which included 4 sandwiches,4 macaroons and 4 various sponge cakes with a pot of tea. We'd orders cold drinks also but was very shocked at the bill at the end as it was over £60!!

Took 4 friends here today for lunch plus a 2 year old, 3 year old and 15 week old. Chose to sit in the garden as not everyone wants a boisterous 3 and 2 year old running about by them. Ordered food from a great selection. Watched food orders coming out for people who had arrived before us and after... More

Not only was the building and garden a pleasure to see but the food was excellent, we had the chicken stuffed with brie and wrapped in ham with a white wine and cream sauce and the battered fish and chips, both were really well cooked and tasty, the staff are really friendly and look after you well and the restaurant... Visited this pub recently on a tuesday lunchtime and although we had only intended to have a drink having seen what other people were eating ( the fish and chips in particular) we cracked and decided to order some food. We had an order of fish and chips between us as the fish was huge. I have to say it... More

The live and let live is situated in the beutful countryside. The views are amazing and there Is lots of great country walks. All of the other people around the table had lovely meals, but I ordered fish and chips, and to be honest it was pretty bad :( The fish was soggy. So overcooked & full of bones! I... More

Very old and cosy pub with fabulous views from garden. Met a friend for lunch. A hot sunny day so we sat in the garden and enjoyed very good fish and chips. Quick, friendly service. (Nice loos too!).
