Beautiful setting

Its a beautiful setting with great views. The inside is very traditional and cosy. The food was a little over priced but all very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Went for my Mothers birthday dinner on a Friday night and the food was excellent. All had large traditional fish and chips with chunky chips. Well worth a try. This pub has it all, old fashioned charm, great selection of real ales from the local area such as Wye Valley Butty Bach or Ledbury Gold with a good range of... More

I have marked this as very good in terms of good looks , history and lovely garden. As far as food is concerned of a lunchtime it is pretty ok . The sandwiches Ham and grain mustard ,Hot Pork and stuffing were generously filled but ultimately were a bit dry and at £7 plus did include French fries but would... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We agree with you and believe this is a rural gem but we would prefer our customers to always leave happy and hearing that you thought the sandwiches were dry, as we always say if you had mentioned it at the time to a member of staff we could have... My partner surprised me with a meal here one sunny Friday evening. Wow what a gorgeous place the outdoor area is beautiful and full of beautiful flowers and hanging baskets, we picked our food and decided to eat inside after some drinks in the sunshine. My starter of goats cheese was delicious but I did wish I had a little... More

We visited on a mid week lunch time. Lovely pub in a wonderful setting. Nice beer garden though it was hot and could have done with more parasols over the tables - only two parasols in the whole beer garden. We ordered the 'Bringsty' burgers. The burgers were very nice but very small, nice burger bun, very small salad, some... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are pleased you like our pub and garden and so sorry for the lack of shade, this is due to a loss of 5 umbrellas due to misuse by customers, a problem we are looking into at the moment perhaps for alternatives. Regards your disappointment at the small but... More

A bit muddled, we were booked into the restaurant but given a seat in the bar then asked to move tables after we'd ordered. The food took an age to arrive but was good. Creme brûlée was not so good, topping was thick and chewy. Seating was not comfortable. Will sit outside next time if the weather is good enough.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are often called "Quaint" and that is because of our size which means that occasionally we request politely, if customers mind moving tables to accommodate everyone who wants to eat. We would always accept a polite refusal if that specific table was booked. As for your food we always cook... More

fathers day and a family meal out. My husband 83 years old who has a small appetite only had the main course. He was charged the full price ( the cost of a 2 course meal). I call that a shocker, where is their customer service. After a confrontation with the manager I was offered a drink or coffee, but... More
