Can’t comment about the food, but good beer and a well-run community pub.

Situated in the Poulner area of Ringwood, north of the A31 the London Tavern is a well-run local community pub. A decent looking brick building the pub takes its name from the nickname (Johnny Londoner) of a certain John Roberts who opened a pub in his house in the 1860’s. There is an interesting... read more

This is a great little pub where you can sit out in the garden and enjoy a pint of real ale soaking up the British Summer. There is a good selection of real ales and lagers, considering that it is a small local pub. It has a selection of three ales from the local Ringwood Brewery. An ideal stop after... More

Havent eaten here for a while but decided to try their carvery. Stood waiting for ages before the chef came out to serve us, and then asked us to wait another 10 mins while he got more potatoes. This would have been fine if the rest of the veg which wasnt quite under the hotplate wasnt totally cold. All in... More

A fantastic, inexpensive but delicious Sunday roast. Everything you would expect, a good choice of fresh meat, Yorkshire puddings, delicious veg and cauliflower cheese to die for! Friendly staff, good food - a great local pub!

Called in after a walk with a group of friends. The barman/waiter was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Our food took quite a while to arrive, but the barman did come and apologise saying they were waiting for a delivery. However, when the food eventually came it was quite pleasant. Good value. It would have been nice to try some of... More

This is a typical English pub - the clue is in the name. We visited during the summer and found it to be friendly and comfortable. The only trouble was with a couple of wasps, being a warm day and September that is a fairly typical problem, so I wouldn't criticise the pub management for that.

Friendly landlord and staff, great beer, great food. The landlord has something going on most nights and with a roaring fire in the winter, what's not to like!

Five of us ate here, and we all had different main courses. My Dad's fish was all batter with tasteless grey fish inside. My pie was burned on the inside of the crust causing the beef to be very dry, sadly the veg was tasteless too and lacked seasoning. My partner said his sausages were horrid and suggested they could... More

On our way through The New Forest looking for a late lunch, and came across The London Tavern. We all had a pork roast, and it was by far and away the BEST roast we've had in a very long time. Huge meal, but not over the top, incredible meat, perfect veges, just delicious! Lovely cosy pub with a big... More

Had the Sunday roast here recently with friends, mainly because of the positive TA reviews. Nice food, friendly service, decent smoking area outside, drinks maybe slightly expensive for a pub but maybe not in this holiday area. I have to say that my beef was somewhat tough for my taste but my mate happily swopped his roast pork for it... More
