Visited at lunchtime, very few customers, friendly young lady served us, reasonable pint of beer, menu very basic but considering how quiet it was that's not really a surprise. Food we chose was pretty ordinary pub grub, although good value two meals for £12 Monday-Friday lunchtimes. This is a nice old pub but lacks atmosphere at lunchtime.

Took my sister here for Sunday lunch and very disappointed in food. We had the risotto and her portion was cold. So it was reheated, this has resulted in my sister having food poisoning and she is not at all well. Very upset as she was visiting us and we feel responsible for taking her there.

Really disappointed with the fried food, fish and chips clearly came out of freezer and wasn't even very good quality. Lasagne was a really small portion microwaved and not at all tasty, service took forever, I think bar staff may actually have to do the cooking?! On the plus side the beer was very clean and spot on

Visited on weekday lunchtime. Menu very limited -burger or fish and chips, and ham or cheese plowmans. Beer was Doom Bar - past its best. Took 45 minutes for food to arrive - we were the only people eating. While we were waiting another couple came in waited for 10 minutes for someone to serve them, gave up and left.... More

I am sorry you were disappointed with your lunch, and would appreciate the opportunity to rectify this, however, your observations of the menu are a little incorrect as we do not serve fish and chips as you have stated. We have won awards for our real ales and I am surprised to hear your comments reference the Doombar, if it... More

Situated in the Poulner area of Ringwood, north of the A31 the London Tavern is a well-run local community pub. A decent looking brick building the pub takes its name from the nickname (Johnny Londoner) of a certain John Roberts who opened a pub in his house in the 1860’s. There is an interesting back story to why the pub... More

This is a great little pub where you can sit out in the garden and enjoy a pint of real ale soaking up the British Summer. There is a good selection of real ales and lagers, considering that it is a small local pub. It has a selection of three ales from the local Ringwood Brewery. An ideal stop after... More

Havent eaten here for a while but decided to try their carvery. Stood waiting for ages before the chef came out to serve us, and then asked us to wait another 10 mins while he got more potatoes. This would have been fine if the rest of the veg which wasnt quite under the hotplate wasnt totally cold. All in... More

A fantastic, inexpensive but delicious Sunday roast. Everything you would expect, a good choice of fresh meat, Yorkshire puddings, delicious veg and cauliflower cheese to die for! Friendly staff, good food - a great local pub!

Called in after a walk with a group of friends. The barman/waiter was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Our food took quite a while to arrive, but the barman did come and apologise saying they were waiting for a delivery. However, when the food eventually came it was quite pleasant. Good value. It would have been nice to try some of... More
