A very friendly pub/restaurant. The staff are very friendly and efficient, and knowledgeable about the area. The surroundings are well laid out, clean, and with sufficient space between tables to give a bit of privacy. The car park is large and accessible, the beer garden well kept and welcoming, and the Old Beams itself is outwardly very attractive, set just... More

What a dingy place this has become. We popped in for a quick lunch but almost regretted it as soon as we walked in. Dull, dull, dull, to say it's dated is a compliment. We ordered fish and chips, the fish was lifeless, bland and the batter soggy. The chips were pasty and had too many black bits. After struggling... More

We came to this pub last Sunday afternoon, after a trip to Salisbury. It looked very nice! But it took some time formthe waiter to come to our table to bring the menu, which was not very interessting. We asked if we could still have Carvery, he said first NO. Then he said no beef, which we did not want... More

First let me say that Carol, front of house ( an holding the whole disaster together) was fantastic. She was really great, did her best to keep us informed, and was obviously upset that she couldn't control the situation. We booked a table for Wednesday night for two, we were doing a reconnoiter for a group club meal for 12 or... More

Visited a few years ago and had an awful meal swearing never to go back. Friends took us there ( not easy to get out of) and the food was delightful. Drink.......hmmmm? Asked for Old Speckled Hen and whatever it was it wasn't that. She tried again, still no good. Watch out for your drink!

This was my second visit. We came for Sunday lunch on our way home from camping nearby. The service was speedy and the food was enjoyable. The Movenpick Ice Cream was delicious and great ending to the meal. Will return.

We stopped for a meal on the way back from Salisbury. Warm welcome, good menu selection with local produce. Staff were attentive, food was cooked well and portion size was good. The service was slow , and I felt the staff were trying too hard to please. Rather dissapointing.

I visited this pub with the family after going to the beach and water park, and it was definitely a great choice. The food was piping hot and prices were very reasonable. Service was very quick and the waitress that served us was so friendly and poilite it made it even better. I think her name was Joanna but I... More
