this restaurant is a little out of the centre of Ringwood but don't overlook it. the food is very good, there's an excellent wine list and the owner is friendly and helpful. Had the venison which was beautifully cooked. This would be a great place for a family party or a large group as there is reasonable choice on the... More

Had Sunday lunch there it was terrible tiniest portions I have ever seen. the lamb was tasteless and chewy it tasted more like pork .. sliced wafer thin it tasted of dish water! Few carrots and beans and mini tiny roast potatoes we it in less then 5 minutes it was smaller than a child's portion. The pudding was chocolate... More

Really lovely old couple running it with brilliant customer service but food was very old school and basic, I had a very odd salad as a side which has 12 ingredients! Including egg and apple... And the decor was strange and cramped with eclectic plates and ornaments oil insence. Wanted to love it, but just didn't.

We've just returned from weekend special break with friends - 2 couples in double ensuite rooms. The rooms were spacious, well furnished & comfortable although heating went on too late in afternoon on very cold day, I couldn't get the shower to run hot & the basin & taps could have been a lot cleaner!. The host was friendly &... More

Venue needed an update????? surely the whole charm is the age of the property, we love this place best food ever fantastic service, food may take a little longer as cooked freshly. Very good value and so many interesting items to look at, you feel like you have gone back in time. New, fast and modern go to MacDonalds.

It took three quarter of an hour for our meal of fish and chip which was of a branded name and out of a box and sausages and chips, and other guest who came in after us had there meal before us and one meal was the same as ours. Although the host was friendly, but the venue felt in... More

I recently stayed there for 2 nights with my daughter & two dogs. The owner is such a lovely man and cannot do enough. The breakfast's were lovely and fresh. OK so the decor may not be up-to-the minute, but if that's what you want, you can find it elsewhere - and it will probabably cost you 3 times as... More

We stopped here to have a drink and a bite to eat before going on the Ringwood Brewery tour. The beer was great as was the food. The service was top notch we were made to feel so welcome. So much so that the landlord invited us to leave our car in the car park in case it got damaged... More
