We had a delightful lunch to-day, with our family, 31 August 2014. Many courses to choose from, Sunday roasts. I had a vegetarian burger with chips, my husband had a plough man's baguette with cheese, pickle and chips. Our grandchildren had sausages and mash. We had a delicious apple crumble served with an individual jug of custard. We sat in... More

Some of the reviews surprise me. If you want fine dining, go elsewhere. What we got here was exactly as expected. Simple food cooked well, good ales which were clearly well kept (not sure if Camra has visited). We stayed down the road and were given a 10% discount card. Even before this, the meals were well priced and had... More

I went for sunday lunch, the menu did not have what i wanted. I was given cutlery that was serve in a rusty tin and unclean. i asked for clean cutlery and had to change my choice of dinner. When i requested condiments, the teaspoon was dirty. It is a pretty place and nice garden but the state of the cutlery... More

We took a short cut to avoid traffic and stumbled upon this old time treasure. It is all you could want in an old school setting with real good food and ales. I hope you all love it as we did. Well worth a visit.. Suzi. Xxx

We were staying at the white rabbit and went for a short walk only to stumble upon the Waterloo arms. We went in for a drink and stayed for lunch, Then, we went back in the evening for dinner. Thats how good it is..

We had a small lunch and the food was not expensive and good. Service was not very welcoming but ok. Atmosphere is great. Free Wifi that actually works.

Ate here on Saturday night while staying in Lymington. Loved it - nice atmosphere, good food - the salmon was delicious and our starters - whitebait and the smoked salmon and prawn cocktail -were just lovely. The menu is fairly basic good pub grub but was really well done. Loved it and would definitely go back.

Another pub in Lyndhurst that has good ales and home made food. You pay a bit more for the food, but its well worth it. Sit inside or eat/drink in the large garden. Good selection of ales and beers. Set back off the main road, its only a short distance away from the main town. Like I said..... its worth... More

Having been here 2 years in a row when visiting the area previously, I was looking forward to having dinner here again. Booked a table for two people and when we arrived the place didn't seem to be busy, with most of the tables still empty as it was still relatively early. Decided to have a drink first before sitting... More
