Sunday Lunch

The food was lovely. I had the triple roast which was great and I loved the old school desserts. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was busy when we went but I guess that's a good sign!

This was a great find and we had a wonderful lunch. We pass close by every day but as the Waterloo Arms is tucked away we have never visited previously. We will be visiting more often now especially as the pub has a warming real fire. Staff were friendly, beer and wine prices were reasonable. Food was not cheap but... More

The kind of country pub that is warm and friendly rather than trendy. Soft lighting, nice people, excellent food. We had hot and cold fish sharing board and it was delicious. Definitely worth a visit,

Visited here today with friends to celebrate a birthday. Very welcoming on arrival. We hadn't booked but staff very accommodating and found a table that would sit the eight of us. Excellent menu choice plus specials board so something to suit everyone. Six of our party chose a starter and they came out promptly. Unfortunately the plates were not cleared... More

Food looks excellent although did not eat here, had a few pints and went back to hotel. Good atmosphere and good ale, recommended.

One of the few pubs that serves food all day and doesn't offer a limited menu on a Sunday (not a fan of roasts out). This was our first visit. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating for a family of 4. The pub has a lovely warm atmosphere with fairy lights scattered around, which offered a welcome distraction for... More

We went here last night as a group of 6. Best Garlic Mushrooms i have ever had, followed by chicken Fricassee but i asked for chips instead of rice and No Problem it was great. I had the cheddar cheese board and that was great with a nice salad and biscuits etc. Good Beer and a very reasonable cost. A... More

We chose the Waterloo on the strength of other reports and we're not disappointed. A great welcome by staff, we lived stoking the fire and the food was excellent as was the great mulled wine

Stopped off on way through to Milford-On-Sea, greeted as soon as we walked in which was lovely. Lovely choice on menu and specials board. I had fresh plaice, new potatoes and wilted spinach and was cooked to perfection. Husband had rib-eye and again perfectly cooked. The children enjoyed their meals too. All in all highly recommended, excellent quality, service and... More
