We were both home on a recent Friday and decided to go out for lunch. We hadn't been to the waterloo Arms for a while so decided to try it as reviews looked good. We weren't disappointed, the bar was busy when we arrived but the staff apologised for the wait and dealt with the customers efficiently as there was... More

Love everything about this place, the look, the food, the garden, the staff, the location ad its own car park. If in Lyndhurst, you must try the Waterloo Arms.

Garden is lovely to sit for a drink, but food (had steak and salmon) was more than well done, chewy and certainly over cooked

Excellent service and fantastic food. The bar staff were very polite and friendly. Would highly recommend the chilli con carne

A perfect country pub. Buzzing bar area; quiet restaurant. Ate a superb dinner of perfectly dressed crab and steamed new potatoes on a cold, rainy, windy night which didn't feel like spring, but the food made up for that. Good mix of ales on tap too.

As luck would have it the traffic into Lyndhurst was fairly heavy and we had plenty of time to notice the brown pub sign at the side of the road that pointed to this (slightly)hidden gem. It is only a few hundred yards off the main road but invisible unless you do leave the main road. The pub is an... More

1st course soup had inedible fibrous bits in it I had to keep spitting out, taste was ok though. 2nd course risotto had been cooked to death and was mush. Salad was dry and bitter with no dressing or anything. Partners lasagne was ok. Nothing great.

This pub is somewhat tucked away but it's worth seeking out. It has a beautiful garden hidden at the back and also cosy inside and we were very happy with the food. Good value for money too.

Last night my wife an I both enjoyed a very good pub meal. It was not crowded for a Monday night but still had plenty of diners. The pub had a good atmosphere and had lots of little nooks and crannies. Plenty of space outside for warmer evenings.

Was recommended for great food but not convinced. Everything was quite greasy and the burgers were pretty cheap tasting. We went twice and the first time started okay but took forever to get the bill and then have someone come round with the credit card machine. The second time took over 45 minutes to bring our food. Not great with... More
