The character of this restaurant fits perfectly with the character of the Limewood Hotel, modern, slightly quirky but with classical undertones. From the moment we arrived we were extremely well looked after by the attentive, professional, polite staff. The seasonal menu was had a good selection and catered for most tastes - the food was flavoursome and well presented; good... More

Limewood is a lovely hotel, luxurious and modern while keeping the character of the building, the gardens are lovely and on a summers day were wonderful. My wife and I were here to celebrate my birthday and were not disappointed, the food was exceptional, well presented and tasty. The service all afternoon was excellent, but never in your face or... Loved this place, the food, staff and the ambience! The whole place is bright and airy and the staff attentive. Food is tasty and beautifully presented. I did have to question whether the knives were ever sharpened as my pork shoulder was a little difficult to cut. And another niggle was the way that my desert arrived only minutes after... More

Mac 'n' cheese and spaghetti meatballs for lunch was not something I expected to see on a menu at a 5* establishment. I was pleasantly surprised by this and their modest prices. Food was totally exquisite and would love to go back. There wasn't one thing on the menu that didn't sound divine

Recently had midweek lunch with friends at the Lime Wood. Beautiful surroundings and very well appointed hotel. Went for the set lunch (2 courses £19.50, 3 courses £25.50) and a bottle of Chianti Rufina (£34). Excellent, friendly service and nice dining room overlooking ponds. Started with gazpacho (stylishly served), white peach/mozzarella salad (delicious according to my wife), halloumi and something.... More

I took my partner here for our recent anniversary. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the grounds are superb. The staff were excellent and their attention to detail was amazing. We started the evening by having a drink in the main bar and enjoyed some cocktails. When we were taken through for supper we were looked after extremely... More

Sunday lunch for two on 27 July. Set menu for two with one bottle of wine. Total cost £113. Special occasion with our booking based on previous lovely meals, although they were before the dining room was revamped and new culinary influences were introduced. For this price we expected a more polished approach to service and better food. No salt... More
