very disappointing xmas lunch. The meal seemed to be a frozen meal heated up. Lack of atmosphere and the staff didn't ask if everything was o.k. Wouldn't go back and would try somewhere else in Lyndhurst.

My husband an I had lunch here, good price, nice food, nothing over the top special but for the price it was good. Really nice guy who served us and tended the bar, very helpful and accommodating in finding us a table we wanted (wanted to be out of the way as breastfeeding)

I had cod and chips and the chips were quite ok while the cod was well battered and flakey if a little lacking in flavour, there were plenty of sauces and it was nice to be offered a choice of mushy or normal peas. It was pleasant and a nice location to stop at but it just didn't go the... More

My family dined here on a sunday at 5pm. There were very few customers and what appeared to be three staff which given the number of customers was fine. However we did not feel very welcome, the waitresses were not cheerful (we started to wonder if they had fallen out with each other) the service was very poor , no... More

My wife and I have just had yet another excellent meal at the White Rabbit in Lyndhurst. The hotel/restaurant has recently been refurbished (possibly just over a year ago - so hard to understand why some found it dated!) and is extremely smart and tidy. The food (standard Chef and Brewer menu) is always very good and quick in arriving.... More

Stayed in Lyndhurst for 4 days September 2014 decided to try a meal here one night. We were totally gobsmacked at the size of the portions, some chicken bit of mash, no veg at all we thought because of the price you would get a decent sized meal., so declined any desert . Needless to say wouldn't use them again

Drove past this hotel/restaurant which looked very busy on a Sunday on our way to our chosen Brewer Fayre restaurant which upon our arrival we immediately rejected and returned to the White Rabbit. We bagged the remaining two Sunday dinners, seems to be a common occurence. Food was great and reasonable priced. Staff were great and some had apparently emmigrated... More

This was our first visit to this pub/restaurant and our last I'm afraid after today. We were looking forward to a roast dinner after a long day but were told that they had run out (it was 4.30). Not to be put off I ordered the more expensive rib of beef which the waitress recommended. The rest of my family... More

Excellent value on the set lunch menu (Final bill of £23: two starters of pate and toast. Main courses of fish and chips and scampi and chips, one glass of coke and one cup of tea). Good starters with generous portions and good quality produce. Our mains were both delicious – my whole tail scampi was fresh in crispy batter... More
