Staff very friendly and very efficient and also looked after each other- environment clean and inviting and although we didn't eat here, the menu looked good and there was a garden at the back. Not only is the pub child friendly, but also do friendly, with free treats for furry friends on the bar-nice touch!

This is a great sized pub on the high street in Lyndhurst. Reasonably priced drinks and really nicely decorated.

I have visited all of the pubs in this lovely village. We decided to go for lunch on the 18th July at the Fox and Hounds as the place has just had a refurbishment to a very high standard. Four of us all had great meals which were superbly presented and very tasty. After dinner we went and had a... More

The food prices might be a bit more than you wood expect, but once it was served in front of you. Wow. Go back again just for the food and afters. Also great ales to choose from.

Apparently this has just had a facelift & it's now a lovely place to sit & relax inside & out. Has a coffee shop attached. Staff are friendly, good range of drinks & interesting menus. Looking forward to visiting again soon

This is without a doubt a lovely pub, we must have got them on a bad day from reading the other reviews. We booked a table for Sunday lunch for 4 people arrived on time at 13.30 and placed our order we had to chase our food at 14.10 and witnessed other guests leaving as they were fed up waiting.... We visited as part of a 20-strong birthday group. We had pre-ordered our mains and consequently they managed to serve us all in an impressively short space of time. I would describe the menu as 'distinctive' - I would say that each meal ordered was interesting and unusual. The dishes are neither 'hungry-horse style, nor Nouvelle cuisine. I had the... More

Lovely atmosphere kin fab surroundings. Staff very friendly. My partner had a very average beef burger which was over priced and the cheese topping for I think was a quid was laughable. I had pulled pork which it wasn't it was roast pork swimming in a watery now sauce. Chips were tasteless and onion rings really greasy. The portion of... More

A lovely pub and atmosphere very helpful staff and dogs are welcome so even more of a bonus. My partner had the pulled pork meal option which on the menu said large plates but it came in a very small bowl little crackling and tiny portion of chips and corn on cob a disappointment. However the food was beautifully cooked... More

After a few hours in the saddle cycling the forest trails from brockenhurst a pleasant pint or two of cloudy dry cider hit the spot. Very big beer garden area, good hot salmon sandwich then off again.
