Regular visitors, never disappoints

We live very locally to Imperial China and come here fairly often, usually as a big group. It is always packed, usually with other large groups so it can be a bit noisy, but this isn't offputting. Very packed and always is apparently. Food was very good and the service excellent but you felt as though they wanted you to eat quickly and get out.

Everytime we are in Lyndhurst we make a point of visiting the Imperial China and have never been disappointed. If you are vsiiting anytime over a weekend, you need to book in advance as it is alaways very busy. The staff are excellent, friendly, helpfull, and efficient, and work very hard and whiz arround at break neck speed. They seem... More

We have been regular customers of Imperial China for around 15 years. The food is always very good and all the staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful indeed. This is easily one of the nicest Chinese restaurants in the area and visitors to the New Forest are always sure of a first class eating experience and a warm welcome.

This Chinese or Szechuan restaurant was a "breath of fresh air" . Faultless service and delicious appetising food. We had a set menu and could not fault the dishes. It's a long time since we have found such good quality chinese food. Oh and the prawn sesame toast was the best I've ever had. Recommended!!!

What a great Chinese. This has to be one of the best I've had. Beautiful restaurant with lovely staff and the food is just great I didn't want to stop eating.

I would imagine that this little gem is authentic Chinese cuisine. I was treated to a night out from my boss who fortunately for me, has a good appetite. With this in mind, we ordered a wide selection of starters. Hot house special which included prawn toast, ribs, satay chicken and seaweed. Everything was tasty. Don't let the word hot... More

Very nice restaurant with very friendly staff. It was a very busy place so bookings essential. One small comment it's a bit overpriced for what I would call basic chinese food but don't get me wrong it was very enjoyable. Staff very helpful and very busy, I would certainly recommend it you will not be disappointed

Visited with a group of friends for the lunchtime 'let us decide for you' treat. Very tasty with usual courses that soon filled us up. Not cheap at £25 per head - other Chinese restaurants reduce the price at lunch compared to the evening and it wasn't at all busy. Particularly tasty - the lemon chicken and the crispy beef!

We called at the Imperial China Restaurant for lunch on our way to stay in Lymington. Although it was early our lunch was beautifully presented and very fresh and tasty. We have visited here previously in the evening and for lunch and have always been very impressed. We shall call again.
